About Waterview The Cove Assisted Living & Memory Care

Waterview The Cove Assisted Living & Memory Care sits in a lakeview setting and welcomes seniors 55 and older. The community provides both assisted living and memory care in a campus that handles changing needs, so folks can stay in the same place even if they need more help over time. Residents can pick from private studios, one-bedroom, deluxe one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, each with their own bathroom, living room, and kitchen area, and there's generous closet space. Memory care units are in a separate, secured building, set up to help those with Alzheimer's or other types of dementia. Every apartment has pull cords and pendants for emergencies, and safety-equipped bathrooms. The place is pet-friendly, with space for dogs and cats, and supports residents who want to keep their animals, even offering some pet care.

There are plenty of spots to gather or relax, such as a library, a game room, a movie theater, multiple indoor and outdoor spaces, community rooms, and even pools and hot tubs by the lake. The schedule stays full of activities like art classes, gardening, stretching, yoga, water aerobics, karaoke, Wii bowling, wine tastings, and trivia, all led by a full-time activity director. Meals come three times a day, made fresh by chefs, and residents can pick restaurant-style dining, room service, or special diets like low salt or gluten-free if needed. The Sagora Pathways program, focused on memory care residents, uses music therapy and life skills with dining and care routines.

Nurses are always on staff, with doctors on call, and folks can get help with grooming, bathing, dressing, and medications. The staff includes helpers for daily living and advanced care, including support for those with diabetes or incontinence, and there's help for residents who wander or have tough behaviors. Mechanical lifts, 1-person and 2-person transfers, and medication care managers are part of the services. Housekeeping and linen changes happen every week, and there are wellness and exercise programs in addition to regular visits from podiatrists, therapists, and other providers. The grounds are secured for memory care, with technology to monitor residents and stop elopement, using bracelets with alarms if needed. Residents who drive can park here, plus there's free or paid transportation for appointments and outings. Social programs, devotional services, and plenty of opportunities for group trips are included. Waterview The Cove tries to stick to a Resident First approach, so plans for care are shaped around what each person needs as things change, and the goal is to help folks keep their independence, safety, and comfort as they age.
