King's Manor Methodist Retirement System sits at 400 Ranger Dr in Hereford, Texas, and has served seniors for many decades as a nonprofit with roots in the United Methodist Church, and people around here know King's Manor for treating residents with dignity and respect while offering a wide mix of services. Staff help residents with day-to-day tasks like bathing, dressing, and taking medications, though they put a lot of care into preserving each person's independence, and there are different levels of assistance available that change how much people pay each month, since charges depend on the type of care, the size of the room, and whether rooms are shared. The campus has options for independent living, assisted living, memory care for people with dementia or Alzheimer's, skilled nursing, and even temporary or short-term care if someone needs it, and they offer hospice care for end-of-life needs as well as therapies like physical, occupational, and speech therapy. People find plenty of places to relax and gather, with large indoor and outdoor sitting areas, and there are always activities like cooking classes, game room events, and Red Hat Society meetings. Residents eat nutritious meals that are made to fit their health needs and the kitchen can adjust for dietary restrictions. Devotional services happen onsite to support spiritual life, and both onsite and offsite activities help keep bodies and minds active. Certified nurses and support staff look after health and safety, including emergency response systems in place, and they'll help manage medicine if needed, though there may be an extra charge for that. The fee for living there generally includes some meals, housekeeping, utilities, and regular maintenance, so folks don't have to worry about little repairs or cleaning up all the time. King's Manor has a reputation for being compassionate and focusing on each resident as an individual, and they even allow pets like dogs and cats, which brings comfort to many. The staff provide healthcare, medication management, help with incontinence or mobility, and some specialized diabetic care as needed. The community offers memory care with specialized programs, and everyone has access to mailboxes and safe places to socialize. There's a long history of both community involvement and high standards, and King's Manor is known for its warm, welcoming feel and its mission to provide quality retirement living for seniors in Hereford and the nearby area.

Nice staff, unacceptable facility conditions
I loved the residents and many of the staff — the facility is spacious and well maintained, maintenance and the ADON were kind, and Ms. N, Ms. Letic and Ms. Leah were excellent. But I had serious concerns: many CNAs were rude and dishonest, I worried about the administrator’s behavior, and I witnessed unacceptable conditions (no in‑room bathrooms, porta‑potties, feces in a hall trash container, and residents left wet for hours). I cannot recommend this place.
