    Welcoming facility with some issues

I felt welcomed and safe - staff were kind, professional, and went the extra mile (Melissa, Dalynn, Stephanie stood out). The new, spotless facility is bright, home-like, activity-rich, and offers strong memory care. Care and daily help were excellent, but meals have been inconsistent, evenings can be short-staffed, maintenance response slow, and it's pricey. Overall I recommend it with those caveats.

    About Legend of Mansfield

Legend of Mansfield sits in Mansfield, Texas and has a classic brick and stone building with a covered entryway and lots of parking, and folks will see flowerbeds, porch seating, and an enclosed courtyard where people like to sit and visit or enjoy the view, and you'll notice the building is single-story with no steps, a design that helps older adults get around safely with lots of windows for natural light. The community is for people 55 and older and offers assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing services, so there's help available for things like walking, wheelchair use, and personal care, and in fact there's support if you have Alzheimer's disease or another type of dementia, because they offer memory care with staff trained to help with memory issues, and the building itself is made to reduce confusion and wandering. Apartments range from studios to one and two-bedroom units, with room sizes from 269 to 479 square feet, and you can pick a private or semi-private apartment, all with easy-access bathrooms, walk-in showers, and handy kitchenettes, and yes, some apartments are pet-friendly for certain pets. The community gives you in-house laundry, dry cleaning, and housekeeping, plus three daily meals through the Gold Leaf Dining program which means chef-prepared food in a shared dining room with table linens, and there's a bistro area, a private movie theater, and a cozy living room with a fireplace for when you feel like relaxing or socializing, or a salon and spa for on-site hair care. Special gathering areas let residents join in activities, whether that's exercise in the dedicated fitness room with things like resistance bands and a NuStep machine, or life enrichment happenings like history talks and local outings, and there's a memory care library for quiet reading, plus a theater for movie nights with popcorn. For religious needs, in-house services are available, and if you need a break or recovery, the community offers respite care, while personalized services and companion help are offered depending on what you need, all under a state-issued Type B license (number 308526) and as part of the Tour Senior Living network. The place feels peaceful with safety features for those with memory concerns, and transportation services get you to appointments or out for activities, so residents have a choice of things to do every day, both inside and out in the community.
