    Beautiful facility, compassionate attentive staff

I placed my parent at The Legacy at Long Meadow and I'm extremely happy. The facility is beautiful, spotless and secure, and the staff are friendly, attentive and professional-Rebecca, Courtney and Dani genuinely go above and beyond. Care is compassionate and hands-on, memory-care and activities keep residents engaged, and meals are generally delicious. It's on the pricier side with some extra charges and occasional slow service, but the peace of mind and clear improvement in my loved one's wellbeing make me highly recommend it.

About The Legacy at Long Meadow

The Legacy at Long Meadow offers assisted living and memory care in a licensed Texas community for up to 110 residents, including 30 with Alzheimer's, where private memory care rooms start at $6,395 a month, and the whole place is clean, well-kept, and gets strong staff ratings, so you see a lot of care and attention to detail, plus the LLC company structure and Texas license #150042 behind it add to the legitimacy, while the place itself has private, modern apartments with walk-in closets, kitchenettes, cable, Wi-Fi, individually controlled air, walk-in showers, and grab bars, making daily life a bit easier for folks who want both independence and some help. The staff offer care for daily needs, like bathing, dressing, medication, meals, and housekeeping, and they're available day and night, with 12-16 hours of nursing care, a 24-hour call system, and full-time support, so everyone gets what they need, whether that's just a little help or something more. Memory care services use the Connections program, which keeps people active with physical and mental activities and encourages social involvement, and you see a focus on making life purposeful, even if someone's memory's fading, all in a secure area where safety features blend in and let folks feel comfortable. Assisted living here meets daily needs with personal plans, so someone can live as independently as possible but have a hand with what they need, and for social and emotional health, there are daily activities, offsite events, devotional services, and resident-led programs, as well as a full calendar of entertainment, movie nights, scheduled outings, and educational events. People enjoy chef-prepared meals three times a day, plus snacks, and the dining spots include a restaurant-style main room and a private area for special occasions, not to mention a common lounge, library, recreation center, and covered patios, plus there are paved walking paths, a barber and beauty shop, and a private courtyard for warmer days outside. The Legacy welcomes small pets in assisted living, and the property itself encourages independence even as needs change, with short-term respite stays, on-site rehabilitation, nutrition and weight tracking, and all the basics like laundry, transportation arrangements, and concierge services for individual needs. The building is close to UT Health Medical Center and the Oakbend Medical Center for peace of mind about emergencies, and the whole place aims for a friendly environment, with kind, joyful staff, fair housing, and equal opportunity to keep everyone feeling welcome and connected, so residents can spend their days involved in a lively, compassionate community that meets them wherever they are.
