    Compassionate clean home-like dementia care

I highly recommend this small, home-like facility - my mom is a happy long-term resident and loves it. The owners and staff are compassionate, attentive, and extremely accommodating; they even accepted my relative despite dementia/flight risk and make sure everyone is well taken care of. It's calm, clean (no urine smell), welcoming to family and friends, with a nice garden and large common rooms; staff are loving and helpful. Shared rooms are available; private rooms cost more.

    About Psalm 23 Home Care

Psalm 23 Home Care sits at 204 Confederate Way in Seabrook, Texas, as a family-owned board and care home with a colonial farmhouse feel, where up to ten residents live together in a six-bedroom house with both private and semi-private rooms, so folks get a real sense of home and community, which can help lessen confusion for people with memory impairments like dementia or Alzheimer's. This home offers both assisted living and memory care, with staff around the clock, always awake and ready to help with daily needs-like bathing, dressing, managing medicine, and even simple tasks like getting meals or heading to the bathroom, so seniors can keep a bit of their independence while staying safe, and the caregivers are thoughtful and respectful, always right there when needed.

Residents get help with housekeeping, laundry, and meals-there's organic food, specialty diets for diabetes and allergies, all-day dining, and snack choices, which means less to worry about for those who have trouble cooking or cleaning, and you won't find yourself short of company because there are both shared spaces-a big living room, garden for walking, a communal dining room, and a community room for crafts, religious activities, and just visiting, along with a social program that keeps days from running together, so life still has a bit of rhythm and fun, with arts, crafts, spiritual times, movie nights, and simple neighborly conversations.

The house is equipped with things families look for, like safety and handicap fixtures, emergency call systems, private bathrooms, air-conditioning, cable TV, in-room Wi-Fi and internet, so you don't lose touch with family, all in a fully furnished space that's clean and welcoming, and if there are appointments to keep or errands to run, transportation gets arranged, so residents don't miss what's important. The property has a garden, outdoor walking paths, parking, a convenience store, and a maintained outdoor area for fresh air, so you can enjoy the outdoors without straying too far.

Memory care includes support with memory-building activities and programs for those with Alzheimer's or dementia, and the staff-including skilled caregivers who speak English-give special attention to folks needing help with medical management, like reminders and administration of medicine, and there's also support for residents with complex medical needs, plus options for hospice and clinic services. Families are part of the process with guest services, outreach, and education, so nobody feels left out, while the team keeps a close eye on everyone with a 24-hour call and supervision system set up so help's always close at hand. Residents experience a kind, supportive environment that's calm and homelike, truly focused on comfort, safety, and dignity, and the staff works to let everyone enjoy as much independence as possible, coordinating closely with doctors or health care providers when the need arises. The home welcomes small pets, and has a licensed capacity of up to ten residents under Texas License #146365, providing a cost-effective, certified care option with a reputation for compassionate service and a warm, family environment.
