    Hotel-like building, staffing undermines care

I love the beautiful, hotel-like building, chef-prepared meals, active programs and many genuinely caring staff who often go above and beyond. But chronic understaffing, high turnover and inconsistent leadership caused slow responses, missed care tasks, laundry/cleaning problems and broken promises. Memory care and rehab are well designed, yet management's poor follow-through undermined confidence and value for the price. If you visit, ask tough questions about staffing levels, night coverage and how promises are enforced.

Long Creek offers assisted living, memory care, independent living, and nursing home services all in one place, so seniors can get the kind of help they need, even if their needs change over time, and the staff stays friendly and well-trained, helping residents feel at home and comfortable while giving the right amount of support for daily activities like bathing, dressing, or remembering medication, and there are personalized care plans which means each person gets what they need, not more, not less, and the memory care part is set up to help people with dementia or Alzheimer's, with safe spaces to prevent wandering and activities to keep the mind busy. The community includes pet-friendly apartments with walk-in showers, kitchenettes, and modern floor plans that have plenty of natural light, so the place feels bright and home-like, and residents can sit in outdoor courtyards, stroll on walking trails, or relax in a library, fitness room, craft room, or even a gaming lounge and movie theater. There's a full-service salon for haircuts or beauty needs, a business center for personal affairs, a billiards room, private and regular dining rooms, plus a dining program that offers nutritious, restaurant-style meals focused on quality ingredients, and you'll also find housekeeping and maintenance services included to make life easier. Community events, scheduled activities, and clubs keep folks busy and offer something to look forward to every day, and there are wellness programs and therapy services to help everyone stay as healthy as they can. Wi-Fi and high-speed internet cover the whole community, making it easier to stay connected with friends and family, and the whole place is designed for easy access, including for folks who use wheelchairs. For people who need specialized help managing money or planning their estates, there are financial concierge and estate planning partners, and there's a My Home Program to help new residents set things up when they move in. Regular programs like Miracle Moments and My Wellness aim to add special touches and keep life engaging, and all the care options are set up to let each person do as much as possible themselves, with support always close by when needed. The campus welcomes pets, and there are plenty of spaces outside to enjoy the fresh air, while inside, activities and community features encourage friendships and an active lifestyle. A virtual tour is available online for anyone wanting to see more. Long Creek connects with popular social media and messaging platforms so family can keep up easily. Everything here tries to make seniors feel safe, respected, and part of a real community, no matter how much help they need.
