    Spacious, caring community with drawbacks

I'm very pleased overall - a premier, spacious, spotless facility with superb, professional and caring staff; dining is delicious and varied (those muffins were excellent), parking and nearby amenities are convenient, and the memory care unit/transition felt supportive. Staff are warm, people-centric and flexible with visits, and the community feels safe and family-focused. Main downsides: high cost with extra charges for room/meds/care, some management/communication problems and understaffing that cause dinner delays, inconsistent room cleaning and limited activities/beauty services, and a poorly maintained rooftop/coffee area. I'd recommend Benchmark at Alexandria but go in aware of the expense and occasional operational hiccups.
