The community allows some pets, provides guest rooms, and has policies against smoking indoors, which keeps the air clean in both private and public spaces, while you'll notice a strong emphasis on helping residents join in activities, whether it's Nintendo Wii bowling, gardening, outings and day trips, group fitness in a gym, movies in a theater, lectures, educational groups, or social events in the billiards room, dining areas, craft and game rooms, common rooms with TVs, chapel, or library, where people sit and chat or read. Friendly staff good independent living
I live here and overall I'm happy. The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming - the director and activities team really engage residents. Apartments are roomy with good closets, kitchenette, weekly housekeeping and laundry included. Three meals a day and lots of activities (bingo, movies, exercise, outings) make it social - food is generally good but service can be slow or inconsistent. Grounds are pleasant and the location is convenient to the hospital; pet-friendly and good value for independent seniors. Best for people who are largely independent - not ideal if you need heavy medical or round-the-clock care.
