    Beautiful facility, compassionate care, caveat

I placed my 94-year-old aunt here and overall I'm very pleased - the facility is beautiful, very clean, spacious, home-like, secure (cameras/motion sensors) with ample parking. Lina, the CNAs and RN were compassionate, patient and provided individualized, excellent care; the owner is knowledgeable and helpful and hospice made her last days comfortable. One caveat: they initially said they would manage dementia/behavior issues but later declined due to behavior, which caused family stress - get the contract signed up front. Despite that, I would recommend this place 100%.

About Good Samaritan Senior Home LLC

Good Samaritan Senior Home LLC sits in a quiet, wooded neighborhood in Lakeland North, west of Auburn, Washington, and you'll find a big house surrounded by landscaped grounds with gardens, fruit trees, and places to walk or sit outside under covered patios. The facility has six licensed private beds, so residents get personal attention, and you'll notice there's a cozy living room and a dining room where folks share three home-cooked meals every day, with special diets like gluten-free, low-sodium, or diabetic meals available if needed. The house is run and owned by nurses, one of whom is always on-call or onsite day or night, and a care team is always present to make sure residents are safe, comfortable, and cared for all hours of the day.

Residents can get different types of help, including assisted living, memory care for people with Alzheimer's or dementia, respite care for short stays, board and care, and adult day care during the day. There's specific support for people with behavioral needs, folks at risk of wandering, or those needing assistance with transfers, including lifts and standby help. The home helps with all daily activities like bathing, dressing, taking medicine, blood glucose checks, and even total care for stroke survivors or residents with more severe disabilities, and there's therapy on-site for those who need physical, occupational, or speech help. People with special health challenges-like diabetes, traumatic brain injuries, or visual and hearing troubles-can also get what they need, and there's regular access to visiting dentists, nurses, podiatrists, and therapists. A doctor is on call, and private-duty nurses provide added care when required.

The memory care section sits in its own secure building, with technologies such as alarmed bracelets to help prevent wandering, fenced gardens, and a clear focus on keeping residents safe. Residents who like activities can find a steady list of things to do, like range-of-motion exercises, bingo, gardening, music, parties, and off-site trips. Some folks enjoy devotional programs and time for group or private worship. The property's pet-friendly, so residents can bring their animals, and the living quarters all have private bedrooms set up with cable, phone, and high-speed internet, plus emergency call systems so help comes quickly if needed. Wheelchair and walker accessibility are built in throughout the home, with showers designed to be easy for those with mobility needs.

The house provides support to stay healthy and comfortable, such as help with health and wellness appointments, fall prevention, wound care, hospice and palliative care, and end-of-life support if needed. Residents get laundry and personal care, and staff create a warm, welcoming space by being kind, watchful, and quick to respond-many families say the team's helpful and joyful attitude stands out. Residents can also join independent living and home care programs, with aides providing companionship and help in their own homes. The place holds a license numbered 757052, and it doesn't accept Medicare payment unless it becomes certified by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

The facility has earned recognition like the Best of Senior Living All Star Award for getting positive reviews from families, and the in-house kitchen focuses on hearty, nutritious, and sometimes international dishes. Security matters here, with locked doors, emergency buttons, and a property fence, so people who might wander stay safe. Residents can park their cars or use the home's free transportation for errands and outings. The home opened 11 months ago and remains focused on senior care, especially for those needing long-term help as their health or memory changes over time.
