Vineyard Park of Bothell Landing sits in the newly renovated downtown area of Bothell, nestled by greenbelt areas with pretty walking paths and close to the Burke Gilman Trail, so folks can go out for a stroll if they like and the Northshore Senior Center is just a short walk away with all kinds of activities and over 10,000 members. There are 87 private suites, with choices like studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, all with emergency call systems, cable television with upgrade options, and Wi-Fi/high-speed internet that works throughout the building, and there's an apartment waiting whether for independent living, assisted living, or memory care as the building holds licenses for both. The community has a grand staircase, a firelight living room, a library for quiet reading, a theatre with a big screen TV, an exercise room, game room, and activity room, and for those who like music or crafts, there's always something on the calendar, plus a full-service beauty and barber shop on the second floor and a gift shop to browse. Residents get three meals a day in a restaurant-style dining room with a professional chef offering varied, health-focused menus including organic dishes, international cuisine, and even no-sugar guest meals, and "any time dining" means people can eat when they wish rather than at rigid hours, with private dining available for special occasions. Care staff stay on duty 24 hours per day, a nurse is on site five days a week and on call the remainder, and care runs from light to heavy, with help for bathing, dressing, medication, diabetic care, incontinence, and other health needs, plus referral and partnership with all hospice entities when required, and services also include respite care for up to 30 days to give families or caregivers a break. There's a locked memory care unit with a keypad entrance and a reception desk for safety and only those with supervision can leave, and staff manages medication, personal care, and non-ambulatory resident needs, and there's an emergency system in each room if anything comes up suddenly. Residents who prefer to live independently can do so with maintenance-free apartments, lots of social activities, and scheduled full rider transportation within a 10-mile radius for appointments, shopping, or social events, and the property encourages exercise with both indoor classes and the surrounding trails. All apartments accept Medicaid after spend-down, and the facility's private-pay structure works with long-term care insurance, with an option for automated payments. The place stays pet-friendly and keeps a steady schedule of exercise, music, crafts, cooking, and educational programs seven days a week, aiming for genuine friendships and a comfortable, home-like feel, and tours are available every day if someone wants to look around.

Beautiful property, poor medical support
I had a mixed experience: the property is beautiful, spotless, and the dining/activities and many staff felt warm and engaging. But I also experienced money-driven management, high turnover and understaffing that led to slow or no responses to calls/falls, medication and billing problems, and occasionally rude/unprofessional staff. Units are mostly nice but kitchenette-only and food quality is inconsistent. If you need light, social independent living it's fine; if you require dependable medical or safety support, I would not recommend it.
