    About All Saints AFH

All Saints AFH sits in a quiet Federal Way neighborhood near Dash Point, off 320th Street, and holds a state license as an Adult Family Home, offering a small, close-knit environment with only six beds, so there's a real feeling of home and attention from caregivers who are helpful, caring, and loving, and the owner, a registered nurse, lives onsite with a team that includes CNAs and EMTs, all with more than 14 years of geriatric care experience. The home welcomes private pay and long-term care insurance and doesn't accept Medicare unless CMS certified, and provides 24-hour care for seniors needing help with chronic conditions like Alzheimer's, dementia, Parkinson's, diabetes, heart failure, mental health needs, stroke, arthritis, Lewy Body, as well as those requiring catheters, feeding tubes, tracheostomy, nephrostomy tubes, and even ventilator support, supporting both light and total care including two-person transfers, bed-bound individuals, and respite care, with tailored care plans addressing each person's needs and regular nurse oversight.

The atmosphere feels inviting with large private ADA compliant rooms on the ground floor, some set up for couples, all with private baths, roll-in showers, and step-free entries making it easy for wheelchairs and walkers, offering space for private visits or group activities on the east wing, plus a big family room with original beams, stone features, soft leather couches, a library nook, and a separate media and game room with a big-screen TV for movie nights, games, or quiet afternoons in the company of others. Residents enjoy access to free television, cable, high-speed Wi-Fi, and an array of channels, including Chinese, Spanish, and Russian, suited for individual preferences, while families can stay connected through an open door policy and visiting hours from 9:00am to 8:00pm, making visits easy.

Meals at All Saints AFH get prepared fresh every day, with three homemade options plus snacks, all adjusted for special diets, including Kosher and vegetarian needs sourced often from the organic backyard garden, where flowers and vegetables grow without harmful chemicals, and meals are served in a central dining room or on the deck that's step-free for everyone who wants fresh air or a chance to join summer barbecues. The surroundings remain well-kept with lovely flower gardens, a backyard for walking or sitting, and French doors off the dining area offering extra sunlight and garden views, while the large deck with built-in seating gives space for birthday parties or just a cup of tea outside.

All Saints AFH provides daily support with simple chores like laundry, housekeeping, meal prep, and personal care-helping with dressing, bathing, grooming, oral care, and toileting as needed, as well as custom incontinence and hygiene help, medication management, and wound care. They integrate modern safety technology including bed alarms, door alarms, motion sensors, emergency call systems, and security features for those at risk of wandering, with nurses and staff available around the clock. The facility takes pride in their structured activity programming, including card club, bingo, newspaper reading, craft and exercise classes, pet therapy, movie nights, book club, family gatherings, music therapy, and special holiday events, plus extra services like hairdressing, therapy visits (physical, occupational, speech), blood glucose checks, and offsite devotional trips, with regular on-site visits by doctors, podiatrists, pharmacists, and other health professionals, arranging transportation for outside appointments using services like Access and Link.

Residents can expect cozier surroundings than larger facilities, and the home keeps a steady focus on keeping seniors as independent as they safely can be, aiming to improve or maintain quality of life through individual care, family involvement, and a setting that supports both physical activity and cognitive engagement. High review ratings reflect satisfaction from both residents and family members, with consistent remarks on cleanliness, good food, helpful staff, and a peaceful home-like environment. The place isn't religiously affiliated but serves anyone seeking care and comfort, and it's well-suited for people wanting a smaller, attentive home with a nice garden, fresh meals, technology for safety, and staff who know them by name, all working together to keep life meaningful as the years go by.
