    Compassionate professional care improved health

I'm the POA for my 101-year-old relative and very satisfied. Staff are kind, patient, professional and punctual; communication and billing are transparent and simple. My loved one's health and mood improved, she's active and social, hospice was compassionate when needed, and the team showed real dedication during the pandemic.

    About Dove Healthcare - Bloomer

Dove Healthcare - Bloomer is a nursing home and skilled nursing facility at 2217 Duncan Road in Bloomer, Wisconsin, that offers both short-term rehab and long-term care, and since opening in 2017, it's been working with people who need help with daily living, memory care, and sometimes more complex things like ventilator, tracheostomy, wound, and end-of-life care, so it's built to handle a range of needs, and with 50 certified beds and usually about 47 people staying there each day, the place feels busy but not crowded, and you'll find it's got 24 one-bedroom apartments-each with accessible bathrooms, walk-in showers, a full kitchen, and utilities like heat, electricity, water, and WiFi included, and personal controls for heat and A/C, which is nice for comfort and privacy. Nurses and certified assistants are around all day and night every day, helping with things like medication, health checks, transfers, and anything else a resident might need, and the facility has its own administrator, Joe Muench, with co-owners Ilan Richland and Issak Markovits, and it's owned and operated by Dove Healthcare under Dove 8 Opco Holdco LLC, with connections to several companies like Divine HC Holdco LLC and Goldstar Capital Partners LLC, so it falls into the for-profit, limited liability kind of business. The nursing home does have some inspection reports from state regulators; for instance, there were ten deficiencies noted in recent inspections, including not posting nurse staffing info every day, some problems in how they store food, and three infection-related issues, but none of these were categorized as causing actual harm and the nurse turnover rate stands at 31.9 percent, which is quite a bit lower than the Wisconsin average, and nurse staffing hours are slightly above state norms, which means they've got good coverage compared to a lot of places.

There's a focus on dignity, healing, and comfort, so staff organize social activities, recreation, and daily outings like trishaw rides, pontoon boat trips, happy hours with live music, and regular events for anyone interested in things like baking or crafting, and you'll find outdoor spaces with patios and views of woods or Lake Como if you like some fresh air. Meals come three times a day and there's help from dietary and nutrition services, and the building also has its own salon, recreation center, lounges, and a walking path for residents' use. Folks who need rehab after an illness or surgery get physical, occupational, and speech therapy from Dove Healthcare's own therapists, and these services can happen both inside the facility and as outpatient visits in other local towns like Chippewa Falls or Eau Claire, so there's some flexibility there for families. Residents get personal care plans, health monitoring, and support with medical appointments and insurance guidance, and if someone needs to move between the skilled nursing and the Dove Healthcare - Bloomer Assisted Living, that transition is easier since the places work closely together. Some residents also use the memory care assistance offered, and hospice and palliative care are available as needed. With staffing in place every hour, support for chronic conditions, and social resources, Dove Healthcare - Bloomer gives a thorough set of services, keeping families informed of any inspection findings and always trying to build a safe and caring environment where people feel respected and supported.
