Tara Place is a community-based residential facility designed to serve adults with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and alcohol or drug dependency. Situated in a pleasant rural area just outside of Elk Mound, its location offers both peaceful surroundings and convenient access to nearby Elk Mound and Eau Claire, enriching residents’ options for community involvement and services.
The facility provides high to moderate levels of care and support within a small and personal environment, accommodating up to eight residents. At Tara Place, priority is given to fostering a safe and supportive atmosphere. Staff are present at all times, including awake overnight coverage, ensuring attentive supervision and availability to residents whenever needed. Additional staff work directly with residents to help them follow individualized care plans, promoting their progress and success in daily living.
