    Warm professional care, highly recommended

I trust Forest Haven with my parents - the staff are professional, warm and treat residents like family, providing outstanding hospice support and ongoing check-ins after my dad passed. The building is spotless, welcoming (families can visit anytime), full of activities, and led by responsive, caring managers; it's a bit pricey but worth the peace of mind and hands-on care - I highly recommend it.

    About Forest Haven

Forest Haven has different room options like studios, semi-private rooms, and two-bedroom suites, and each type comes with its own price. There are several types of fees, including community fees, respite care fees, separate rates for high, medium, or low care needs, and a fee if a second person lives there. The community offers assisted living, memory care, respite care, and hospice support, so people can stay in the same place even as their needs change. Trained staff members are always present, day and night, including awake staff and nurses who give care, help with medicine, and keep an eye on residents' well-being.

The building is easy to move around in, with wheelchair accessible showers, safety features in each room, ground floor units, and a secured memory care section for folks who may wander or are at risk of leaving the property. People who don't walk much or need help moving, including those needing mechanical lifts or two people to assist with transfers, get the help they need. Special care includes reminders for grooming, using the restroom, incontinence care, and help for people with diabetes who need insulin monitoring and blood sugar checks, though staff don't administer insulin. Forest Haven can also care for those at risk for wandering off or for residents living with dementia or Parkinson's disease with dementia.

Everyone gets three meals a day made by a chef or meal planner, and they can enjoy restaurant-style dining with many dietary choices for health and taste. People don't have to cook or clean, since there's housekeeping, laundry help, and move-in coordination. For getting around, residents and families can arrange transportation for a small fee. The community also has indoor and outdoor gathering places, a dining room, a garden with walking paths, a barber and beauty salon, and a library with plenty to read. Telephone access is in each room, and there are emergency alert systems and a 24-hour call response.

Forest Haven keeps people active and socially engaged, offering scheduled events, daily or weekly movies, activity programs, devotional services both on and off site, and regular group trips. Onsite and offsite activities try to keep folks moving, thinking, and enjoying the company of one another, while clubs and resident-run groups give more chances to connect. The building is surrounded by pretty views and green spaces, making it peaceful and comfortable. The community has a reputation for a family-like feeling, helpful and respectful staff, and strong support for both residents and their families during all stages of aging, even at the end of life. Forest Haven is close to hospitals and doctors' offices, making health care and help easier to get when needed. The focus is to offer clear, reliable care, social opportunities, private and secure living spaces, and support for people who need companionship, memory care, and day-to-day help.
