Oak Park Place Green Bay sits in a quiet spot with views of the countryside, and welcomes people who want different kinds of care, like independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and even home care, so you'll find residents here who just need a little hand with daily tasks as well as folks with memory loss needing more attention, and there's always skilled nurses nearby for help round the clock. The apartments come in different sizes, with studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom options ranging from 320 to 947 square feet, with pet-friendly spaces and call systems in each apartment so residents can feel safe, and you'll see conveniences like Wi-Fi, satellite TV, a salon on site for haircuts (for a fee), and special rooms such as lounges, sunrooms, game rooms, a gardening room, and a library. The Oak Park Place staff focus on supporting each resident's needs, offering 24/7 nurse assistance, medication help, and programs made special for people dealing with Alzheimer's or dementia, so families can join the Memory Keepers program too if they want support. Meals are cooked from scratch with local foods when possible and menus change with the seasons, which means residents enjoy a variety of healthy, fresh food in the community dining spaces, and they can join in on activities from fitness classes and walks to tailgating parties and religious services, all set up to help residents enjoy social, physical, emotional, and mental wellness. Transportation's available for going outside, and the common areas make it easy for everyone to chat or enjoy activities together. Oak Park Place Green Bay's location lets residents be close to parks, stores, restaurants, medical offices, and nature, and the whole place is built for comfort, security, and accessibility, with ADA-compliant features and accessible rooms. The community has earned awards for friendly service and good activities, and the whole setting feels home-like while giving people choices-whether someone wants independence or regular help, they can get help when needed and freedom when wanted, and people say staff treat residents like family. There's also a focus on including everyone, with staff and programs aimed at diversity, equity, and inclusion, and events designed to help people connect, learn, and have a good time, so Oak Park Place feels like a steady place where folks can age with support and company.
Caring staff, beautiful facility, caveats
I toured Oak Park Place and was very impressed - the staff are genuinely caring, professional, attentive and communicative, and they supported our family through the final days. The building is beautiful, modern and impeccably clean with bright common areas, sunrooms, nice apartments and lovely outdoor views. Residents are engaged with varied activities, outings and entertainment, and the food/menu is strong (occasionally served cold). Staff monitor meds, provide transportation help and keep families updated, though I noticed occasional staffing/shift communication issues and a few service limits (small memory-care rooms, limited wound care, waitlist/pricing concerns). Overall I feel my loved one was safe and well cared for and I would recommend it, with those caveats in mind.
