Highlands of Geneva Crossing sits in Lake Geneva, WI, and has several different living options for seniors, like independent living, assisted living, and memory care, and all these are in their own neighborhoods named Highlands, Arbor Village, Village Glen, and the Terraces, and those who want to stay for a short while can use their respite care too. The place offers apartments with different layouts, lets people bring pets such as dogs and cats, and has bike and car access, though it's more car-dependent given the walk score of 48, but it does have a bike score of 65, and people can park right at the community. Staff stay friendly and the environment feels welcoming, and management-both owners and hired managers-seem to give personal attention where needed. Activities go on every week with resident events, outdoor gatherings, and even holiday celebrations on the calendar, and the Fireside Room serves wholesome lunches Monday through Friday. Residents see gardens, well-lit lounges, a beauty and barber shop, a library, full kitchens, and laundry service, and those who want to join fitness or cycling programs like Wheels Up get the chance. Memory care residents live in secure spaces and get 24-hour support, memory-enhancing activities, and help for families, and staff provide help with daily routines like meals, medication, and bathing. Those who need assisted living get support for personal care but still keep their privacy, and people living independently can ask for optional support services when needed, and participate in social activities or use senior apartments with kitchen facilities if they want to cook. The buildings have several neighborhood names and sit near places like Delavan Lake and Bohners Lake, and the area has its own schools close by for families visiting with kids. You'll find home care services with trained aides, nutritious meals, and transportation help, plus, people rate the community with a score of 8.8 because of what residents and families say about the care and service. Highlands of Geneva Crossing is associated as a sister property with The Terraces, and won recognition as a best of senior living community, but there's no extra detailed information available beyond what residents and staff have shared about their experiences over the years.

Pleasant community, pricey, air issues
I like the people, activities and staff - the place is clean, well-maintained and residents seem happy; floorplans and amenities are acceptable. It's expensive and I lost about 300 sq ft compared with my old place. Big downside: the air quality is awful (baseboard heat/off-gassing, shedding carpet, stale aroma, fibers in my throat) - it needs professional testing. The fitness room is outdated (no recumbent bikes, no free weights) and feels unsafe for fall-risk seniors. Overall nice people and atmosphere, but the cost and the air/fitness issues are serious concerns for me.
