    Warm, clean facility; staffing concerns

I toured Lincoln Village for my mom and overall was pleased. The staff are warm, caring and professional, the facility is clean, modern and homey, meals and activities are excellent, and therapy and nursing involvement felt strong. We did see recurring staffing shortages/high turnover that led to missed meds, delayed bathing/housekeeping and laundry problems, and management wasn't always easy to reach - though most issues were handled when raised. I'd recommend it but advise watching medication and staffing consistency for your loved one.

    About Lincoln Village Senior Campus

Lincoln Village Senior Campus in Port Washington, WI, gives seniors a safe, caring place to live, and the staff makes sure folks get what they need without making a big fuss about it. The campus offers different kinds of living like Independent Living, Assisted Living, Enhanced Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing, so residents have a place to stay as their needs change and don't have to move far if they need more help. The community feels homelike and welcoming, with staff around 24/7, helping with everything from daily activities and medication to nursing care and therapy, while letting people do things on their own whenever they can. There are private studios plus one- and two-bedroom apartments, and many of the units come with kitchenettes, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, walk-in showers, private bathrooms, and even in-floor radiant heating in some spots.

The dining areas are open-concept and inviting, with meals made by a culinary team using menus from a registered dietitian. Assisted and Memory Care residents get three chef-prepared meals a day, Independent Living residents get one but can buy more, and staff pay close attention to hydration by keeping hydration stations all around. People can bring guests for meals or have room service if that's easier for them, and the focus is on homemade options and fresh produce. Activities here cover a lot: physical exercises, mental games, spiritual services, social events, and there's a Heritage Hopes program that tries to fulfill residents' dreams, which is something special. Intergenerational programs and personalized life stories help keep everyone connected, and there are regular music performances, church gatherings, and outings along with organized and resident-led activities to help folks meet each other.

The campus has things like a rehab gym, spa room with a tub, beauty salon and barbershop, pub area with granite countertops, fireplaces in common spaces, outdoor patios, courtyards, garden, and a small library, but there's no big movie theater or swimming pool, so it feels pretty cozy and practical rather than fancy. Rooms have a simple, elegant design and are fairly priced for what you get, and the building itself is new and well-kept. Safety matters here, so there's a secured building entrance, an emergency call system, and everybody gets a call pendant. The staff includes well-regarded nurses and aides who support residents but let them make choices about how they want to spend their days. Housekeeping, laundry, scheduled transportation, and practical supports are part of daily life, and respite care is available for families who need a break. The atmosphere stays warm and friendly, with lots of opportunities for socializing, and there are seasonal awards and visits from the outside community, so the place feels lively but not over the top-just a good place for seniors who want their space but know help is always there when it's needed.
