About Prospect Heights Community Living Center (Community Based Residential Facility)

Prospect Heights Community Living Center is a Community Based Residential Facility, or CBRF, with 52 licensed beds, serving older adults and people with different care needs in a setting surrounded by green spaces and tall trees where residents have several choices for where and how they live, with private and semi-private rooms, apartments, condos, and townhomes all available, and you'll find that the staff provide 24-hour supervision and use medical alert systems, like Medical Guardian, ADT Medical Alert, and Bay Alarm Medical, along with other safety features including medication dispensers, home safety measures, and a 24-hour emergency call system to help keep people safe while they try to support folks in staying independent in a home-like atmosphere that encourages everyone to try to reach their full potential. Residents get help with daily living, like bathing, dressing, transfers, medication management, and meals, with restaurant-style and all-day dining that can meet special diets, whether that means allergies or diabetes, and activities fill the days, from movie nights and games in sun-filled common rooms, to group outings, table tennis, walking paths, music and arts, and quiet time in the library or outdoors in the garden, plus families can join in special events or use caregiver and support services to stay close, while companion care and nursing home services meet more complex needs, including memory care, care for traumatic brain injury, terminal illness, developmental disabilities, severe mental illness, emotional or behavioral challenges, correctional clients, AODA needs, and people who are advanced aged or physically disabled. The facility combines technology services such as senior cell phones, hearing aid support, internet, and cable TV, with everyday services like housekeeping, personal laundry, and fitness and wellness programs, and each resident gets move-in help, furnished suites if needed, access to a game room, transportation, parking, and air conditioning. The community follows the standards for Home and Community-Based Services and is licensed and regulated by the state, doesn't take Medicare unless certified, and works with Long-Term Care Ombudsman programs to make sure each person gets advocated for, with a staff trained to support people who need long-term assisted living but still want to stay as active and social as they can be in a place that's steady, safe, and filled with things to do.
