    About Hil Meadowbrook

Hil Meadowbrook is a senior care community in Watertown, Wisconsin, where older adults can get a wide range of care depending on what they need, and while it's not really big-it's certified for up to seven residents and keeps things homey with only eight beds at a time-the place covers plenty of ground like respite care for short stays, memory care for those with Alzheimer's or dementia, adult daycare services, hospice support for end-of-life, skilled nursing with medical care around the clock, and both residential and independent living setups, so seniors can get help with things like dressing, bathing, moving around, and taking their medicine, but still hold on to their independence as much as possible if that's what works best for them. The staff-including CNAs, LPN/LVNs, and RNs-handles daily tasks, medication checks, managing health conditions, and making sure everyone gets meals that suit their needs-even for diabetes or hypertension-with meal prep and all-day dining in a shared dining room or café, plus delivered snacks if folks need dietary changes for allergies or doctor's orders, and there are outdoor gardens, walking paths, furnished rooms, and an emergency alert system for extra safety.

For folks who like to keep busy, there are activity programs with outings, music and pet therapy, art events, recreation rooms, scheduled movie nights, a reading room, games, and exercise classes, with wellness options like a hot tub, sauna, and a small fitness center; there's even a barber and salon that comes by, and haircuts can happen right in the facility, which some people really like. There's staff help all day and night with personal matters and the messy stuff as well like cleaning apartments, doing laundry or dry cleaning, providing bathing and toileting help, grooming, moving in and out of the shower, or moving wheelchairs-plus mobility support when going to appointments or just getting from place to place, and transportation gets handled for doctor trips, shopping, and even spiritual services.

Memory care units have special activities to help those with Alzheimer's and dementia keep their minds busy, and provide supervision at all times; couples and singles have different assisted living unit plans to pick from, all set up to feel comfortable while being safe. Group outings, social night events, and community-sponsored activities give everyone a chance to meet others, and community rooms have games and setups for movies or calls home. Staff accept long-term stays and focus on individual support, with housekeeping, apartment cleaning, help with dressing, medication, and personalized care plans, and if someone needs help with routines like bathing or eating but still walks pretty well, staff keeps them independent to the best of their ability.

Hil Meadowbrook doesn't take Medicare unless the facility is certified, but they do work with healthcare providers for medical needs, and are set up for non-ambulatory care with supervision all the time to make sure everyone stays healthy and safe. The whole idea is to offer seniors different choices for living, whether they need quick help for recovery, memory support, nursing care, or just a place to live without worrying about cleaning, cooking, or being alone all day, with staff always around to help when needed and a variety of services aimed at keeping seniors comfortable, connected, and as independent as possible.
