      About Leo Homes Inc

Leo Homes Inc used to provide residential care homes for seniors in Miami, right between Coral Gables and Coconut Grove, and there were some spacious, remodeled houses so folks could live in a familiar setting and feel at home while still getting a hand with daily needs like grooming, getting dressed, bathing, medicine reminders, and help cooking and cleaning, kind of a smaller, more personal community without much crowding since there were fewer residents living together. They always said safety, courtesy, and compassion were core values, and staff stuck to senior living standards with a resident-first attitude-meaning each person's needs mattered and care was personalized. Rooms came private or shared, all fully furnished, so residents didn't need to bring much more than their things, and the facilities sometimes offered Wi-Fi, but only in some of the houses, and a few homes only took in elderly women. Independent living and assisted living were both available, so residents could pick the amount of support they needed, and there was memory care for people with Alzheimer's or other kinds of dementia with security in mind, special activities to help with memory, and round-the-clock support to stop any wandering or confusion. The place was more of a home than a big complex, with board and care, adult foster care, respite care for short breaks, and even hospice care near the end, as well as some healthcare for issues like incontinence and wound care if someone needed it. Meals came homemade three times daily, and staff could adjust diets for things like diabetes or high blood pressure, and there was always help with bathing, bathroom trips, grooming, and hairdressing if needed, and sometimes they could do 2-person transfers for folks who needed more help moving, as long as you asked about it. On the social side, they organized events like movie nights, fitness schedules, music programs, group games, and there were areas for relaxing outdoors, plus a book room, sauna, jacuzzi, even a hair salon, and transportation could be arranged for medical appointments, errands, or church. Trained caregivers worked all hours, and some could give medicine or help with insulin if it was needed, so support was steady day and night. However, Leo Homes Inc went through Chapter 7 bankruptcy and later got dissolved in 2013, which means it's not open or running anymore, but the facility tried to offer a comfortable, safe, and caring environment for seniors during the time it operated.
