    About Wildflower

Wildflower sits at 715 Wildflower St NE in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by lots of greenery, and the place carries a license from the State of Oregon, so there's rules that keep things safe and proper, and the staff there help with all sorts of needs including care for Alzheimer's and dementia, brain injuries, mental illness, and even people facing alcohol or drug issues, which not every home is set up to do, and if a person needs insulin shots or has trouble getting around or needs someone to help with things like toileting or grooming, the caregivers manage all that, plus they help wanderers who might get lost and those with more challenging behaviors, and folks with AIDS or HIV are welcome too, so you see a wide mix of residents here. There's Spanish-speaking staff, and the home considers letting you bring your pets, plus you can smoke inside if you wish or use marijuana, which is unusual, and drinks are allowed too, so it's comfortable for people with their own routines, and if you and your spouse want to stay together, they've got shared rooms with private baths and private rooms as well, and they do health checks to see what kind of care each new person needs. People using wheelchairs, Hoyer lifts for transfers, or those with night needs get the help round the clock, and the on-site nurse and live-in caregivers cover all the bases-including care for folks on hospice, new or ongoing, with RN support. Wildflower works with Medicaid, which is important for many families, and the home takes care arranging rides for doctor visits or provides its own transportation, plus there's Wi-Fi, individual heating and AC, and both indoor and outdoor places for relaxing alone or with neighbors. They serve meals, do laundry and housekeeping, give out medication, offer activities both at the house and out on trips, and there's a program called "Meaningful Moments®" meant to fit what each person likes or remembers best, and staff try to match the care to each resident's stories, habits, and needs. The community calls itself an Adult Foster Home, or group home, which means some comforts of home, but with more support, and they run both assisted living and memory care services, always aiming to keep people's independence and dignity at the center. You'll see nurses and caregivers ready with support for high-acuity needs, and whether you're looking for a quieter spot with simple comforts or dealing with tough medical or memory issues, Wildflower tries to cover a lot, keeping safety, comfort, and respect in mind for everyone who lives there.
