Cypress Cove at HealthPark sits by the water, so there are nice water views from many common areas and folks can enjoy outdoor seating too if the weather's good, and the place has a mix of private apartments and villa floor plans with choices like screened lanais, balconies, dens, and both two- and three-bedroom setups, and some even come with garages or Florida rooms, high-end finishes, smart-home technology, walk-in closets, washer/dryers, and kitchenettes or full kitchens, with private bathrooms in every unit, and folks get an unfurnished space so they can bring their own things if they want. There are independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, rehab, and home care services all on site, with a full continuum of care, so as health needs change, someone can move from one level of service to another without leaving the community, and there's also adult day care and therapy from The Mead Therapy Center. The community offers a long list of amenities, since people will find a residents lounge, movie theater, pool, fitness center, therapy rooms, a dog park, courtyard, elevators, and parking out front, plus indoor places like a card room, billiards room, library, beauty/barber shop, and covered parking for those who have cars. Nurses stay on duty 24 hours a day and there's help with medication management, personal care, and housework like laundry and cleaning, and for those who need memory care services, there's a dedicated section for that too. Amenities include on-site banking, worship rooms, social outings, fitness programs, creative activities, shuffleboard, speech, occupational, and physical therapy, in-house dining that's restaurant-style, guest suites for family visits, and WiFi throughout common areas. The Medical Care Clinic and Wellness Wing offer rapid infectious disease testing, urinary tract infection testing, and splinting, along with advanced blood work, ear cleaning, EKGs, injectable medications, IV fluids, and care for a variety of conditions from falls to infections, pneumonia, COPD flare-ups, dehydration, sprains, and other illnesses, and the care team can also manage annual checkups and urgent care needs. Folks coming for an appointment need to arrive about 15 minutes early for paperwork, and the building itself is made to be easy to get around with wheelchair access and air conditioning, and restrooms are close to all main spaces. Pets are welcome, and maintenance is handled by staff, so residents don't have to worry about home repairs or chores if they don't want to. Cypress Cove is a non-profit life plan community, meaning it's set up as a Continuing Care Retirement Community, so someone can stay in one neighborhood as long as they want, getting more help as they age, with refined décor in shared spaces, plenty of clubs and gatherings, and services to make daily life easier and safer.

Beautiful community with operational hiccups
I live here and overall it's a beautiful, immaculately kept place with spacious apartments, pools, gyms, therapy, and a huge variety of daily activities and cultural programs. The staff and clinical team are mostly attentive and caring, the on-site medical clinic and proximity to the hospital are reassuring, and the food is restaurant-grade across multiple dining rooms. It's very expensive with a high buy-in, though many consider it good value for the amenities and engaged community. Downsides I've experienced: spotty organization (unstaffed front desk, long waits, slow communications/refunds), occasional lapses in clinical follow-through (pain management), and inconsistent dietary accommodations - meals are basically one per day that can be reheated. Overall I'd recommend it for active seniors who can afford it, but go in with eyes open about cost and some operational hiccups.
