    Good care but poor administration

I was welcomed and my loved one received very good, attentive care - helpful staff, clear explanations from the social service director, a clean organized community, quality meals, good PT and plenty of activities. However administration and communication were poor: rehab was discontinued too soon, documentation was inaccurate, rooms are small and more family seating is needed, and a theft/security incident was handled badly with no investigation. Overall I'd recommend for long-term care and activities but not for rehab or if security is a concern.

    About The Pearl of Naperville

The Pearl of Naperville is a large care community for seniors that sits in Naperville, part of the Pearl Healthcare group, and they've got other locations in places like Downers Grove, Crystal Lake, Joliet, Elk Grove Village, and several more areas around Chicagoland, and the thing about this place is they offer many living options under one roof including independent living for people who want to stay active, assisted living for those needing help with daily activities like bathing, dressing, or managing medicine, memory care for people with Alzheimer's or dementia, a skilled nursing home, and even short-term rehab or respite care stays designed for different needs. The building has secure rooms, with studio, single, and two-bedroom choices-each room has private bathrooms, kitchenettes, air conditioning, cable TV, and Wi-Fi, and they focus on comfort and safety with features like emergency alert systems and handicap access, plus washers and dryers are available for residents to use.

Dining here gets handled by a professional chef, and meals come in different styles from restaurant-style dining to an open dining room, with food available all day, and they take special care for residents who have allergies, diabetes, or need other dietary plans, and you can rest assured that meals are nutritious and freshly prepared. The Pearl of Naperville accepts both Medicaid and Medicare, which helps families with payment options. There's a library, spacious outdoor gardens, walking paths, and plenty of outdoor seating, so residents who like the fresh air or reading outside usually find a spot, and their community rooms include a movie theater, game and activity rooms, arts and crafts zone, music area, fitness center, and a spa/sauna/wellness space-plus transportation and guest parking make it straightforward for families and visitors.

Housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, and even dry cleaning are taken care of by staff, who are known for being kind and helpful, and there's a concierge service to help residents with needs or questions. Programs run daily with things like exercise classes, social events, education, arts, and outdoor gatherings, so people keep engaged physically, mentally, and socially, and there's an award for their activities to show they put effort into these. For medical support and care, the community has nurses all day and night and a team that handles medication, therapy like occupational or wound care, podiatry, and even complex clinical rehab for things such as ortho, pulmonary, or cardiac recovery-there's also memory care programs with staff trained to support people living with dementia, keeping safety in mind with spaces designed to prevent wandering and reduce stress, and every care plan is truly built for the person based on what they need right then.

The Pearl of Naperville doesn't just stop at long-term care, they're building an In-House Dialysis Unit in partnership with Concerto, aiming to make care more convenient for residents with high-level medical conditions, and their post-hospital and short-term rehab services help residents get back on their feet after surgery or illness. There's a "connect" program so families can arrange assessments and get advice on proper care levels; they offer tips on picking the right care by reviewing licensing, staff numbers, medical help, and discharge rules for those looking at nursing home options, and policies help manage things like move-in and waiting lists. Families can feel confident the staff at Pearl work to keep everyone safe, comfortable, and socially connected, whether that's through housekeeping, meals, fitness, or special memory care programs for those who need more support, making it a practical choice if you want a mix of independent, assisted, skilled nursing, or memory care in the Naperville area.
