LakePoint Augusta gives seniors different living options like independent living, assisted living, memory care, nursing home care, and skilled nursing in one large community where folks can pick from small or large studios and small or large one-bedroom rooms; all the rooms come furnished, have their own bathrooms, include cable TV, telephones, Wi-Fi, kitchenettes, and air conditioning, and if someone wants, they can bring their own things too. Residents get three meals a day prepared by chefs and staff will handle special diets, like for people with allergies or diabetes, and snacks are always around if someone gets hungry later, and the dining room looks like a nice restaurant where neighbors can visit and eat together. There's help with medication, bathing, dressing, housekeeping, laundry, and getting to doctor's appointments, and staff like nurses and aides are around 24 hours, so if somebody needs something, they'll help right away. There's a strong team called associates making sure each person has a plan for care that fits what they need and want, and they check often to see if anything needs changing; families can trust the same caregivers will keep coming back so things feel stable. The grounds have gardens and walking paths, plus comfy outdoor spots, and inside the community there are places to do art, read in the library, play games in the game room, watch movies in a theater, or join fitness classes in a wellness room, but people also run their own activities so they stay busy and meet new friends. A spa is there for people who want to relax, and routine things like rides to appointments, move-in help, concierge service, and upkeep like cleaning linens are all included. Folks can walk two miles to Wendy's or Coopers Pharmacy if they want, and Greene Vision provides physician care nearby, which is useful for people who need extra health checks. Emergency alert systems are in every room for safety, and trained staff check wellness daily so nobody gets overlooked, and the licensed nurses oversee care to make sure everything's being done right. The community's been around over 40 years and is locally owned, so people living there seem to feel like it's their home over time, and the staff, about 316 altogether, have a reputation for being helpful, joyful, and welcoming. They offer both short-term rehab after things like strokes so people can get stronger and go home again, as well as long-term support for folks who need more help with daily living. There are Facebook updates and a connection to Meta services if family members want to keep up with events, plus touring is easy since people can visit in person or look online. LakePoint Augusta keeps its license up to date and has a community score of 5.5 from reviews, which seems about average, and it's focused on giving residents social, spiritual, educational, and wellness chances every day, so seniors can stay involved, comfortable, and safe.

Caring rehab but operational issues
I found the facility clean, homey and strong on rehab - therapy and many nurses/CNAs were compassionate, attentive, and went the extra mile, with lots of activities and good amenities. That said, meals were often cold or mediocre, call-light responses could take 30+ minutes, and I encountered inconsistent staff attitudes, poor communication from administration/social services, and occasional laundry/theft issues. I would recommend it for rehabilitation and many long-term needs but only with regular family visits and close oversight. Overall I'm grateful for the caring staff who made my loved one comfortable despite the facility's shortcomings.
