Alpine Rehabilitation Center sits right in Ruston, Louisiana, and belongs to the Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, offering skilled nursing and rehabilitation services through Alpine Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, where people find help with short-term rehab, long-term care, and memory care all under one roof, with dedicated physicians, nurses, and therapists working together so residents get focused attention and care that fits their particular needs, whether that means recovery from illness, support for dementia, or long-term health challenges because the staff really tries to make things comfortable with modern rooms, nice furniture, and décor that might remind folks of home while also making sure people have nutritious meals and a sense of routine with breakfast, lunch, and dinner served daily, and for those worrying about paying for care, they work with Medicaid, Medicare, and long-term care insurance which makes things less stressful for families, and with therapy services covering physical, occupational, and speech therapy as well as inpatient and outpatient rehab, they give people a path to recovery that keeps going even after leaving the center, and since they offer social events, hotel-style touches, memory care, hospice and respite care, folks often find that their social and emotional needs are met alongside their medical problems, the staff always talks about trying to keep every resident's dignity and independence in mind, and the place keeps a 5.0 rating based on two reviews, which may be few but still suggest positive experiences from those who left feedback, and if someone wants to dig deeper, they do have a website called alpineskillednursing.com that shows more about what goes on there each day.

Beautiful facility caring staff issues
I'm glad I chose this facility for my mother: the grounds and common areas are pristine and beautifully decorated, rooms feel spacious like mini-apartments, and daily activities (even an Elvis impersonator) keep residents engaged. Nurses, therapists (Barbara Young, Donna Frasier) and the activities director were exceptional - they helped her recover and gave us real relief during strict COVID visiting rules. Downsides: some aides were distant or insensitive, slammed cabinet doors, and bathing/care was sometimes insufficient; food was generally good but limited for picky eaters.
