    Excellent care, expensive, limited help

I placed my mother here and overall I'm pleased: the campus is beautiful, very clean and well-maintained, the staff are warm, caring and skilled (therapy and nursing were excellent, especially for stroke rehab), meals are fresh and restaurant-quality, and activities and memory-care programming are plentiful. Communication was strong and onsite services/transportation convenient. The big caveat is cost - it's expensive with little discount or buy-back protection - and it can be strained for very high-need residents (sometimes slow responses or limited aide time). I recommend it for quality care and rehab if you can afford it, but be cautious if cost or intensive nursing needs are primary concerns.

    About Bayleigh Chase

Bayleigh Chase, a member of the Acts Retirement-Life Communities organization, sits on a lovely, landscaped 35-acre campus in Easton, Maryland. The community offers a mix of living choices for adults aged 55 and older, including cottages, villas, and apartments, so folks can pick what suits them best, and there are various floor plans with options for private rooms, kitchens, washers and dryers, cable or satellite TV, and Wi-Fi. There's independent living for those who can manage on their own and want a low-maintenance lifestyle, but for people who need more help, there are assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care, rehabilitation, and respite care services, all on one campus, so residents don't have to move if they need more care later.

The staff provides help with daily activities, medication management, housekeeping, and laundry, and there's 24-hour staff and security for peace of mind. Skilled nursing care offers 24-hour medical attention and therapy for folks who need higher levels of care, while memory care is available for adults living with Alzheimer's or other types of dementia. Rehabilitation therapy helps people recover after illness or injury, and respite care gives short-term support to families or caregivers.

Meals are served three times a day by professional chefs, and snacks are always available. There are restaurant-style dining rooms, private dining rooms for family gatherings, room service, guest meals, and accommodations for special diets. Private suites include cable TV, private baths with walk-in showers, and emergency call systems. Housekeeping, linen service, and personal care are all part of the routine, so residents don't have to worry about chores.

People here stay busy and active, as the senior living community encourages engagement with regular social events, day and overnight trips, movie and concert nights, guest apartments for visitors, and a full-time activities coordinator who plans lots of things to do. There's transportation to doctors and shopping, a fitness center with classes and a trainer, massage therapy, lifelong learning opportunities, and health and wellness programs to keep folks moving and feeling their best. The campus offers convenient spots like a performing arts center, a library with a reading room, gardening areas, outdoor patios, walking paths, a beauty salon, a chapel, a gift shop, and outdoor dining areas.

Bayleigh Chase is pet-friendly, with options for folks who want to bring their furry friends, and the grounds have spaces for walking and gardening. The staff here listen to residents' preferences and personalize support as needed, so people get the right amount of help for their own situation. All these services support a community where adults can feel secure, comfortable, and connected to others, no matter how much help they need as the years go by.
