    Beautiful campus, active life, beware

I live at Asbury and love the 130+-acre, arboretum-like campus-beautiful grounds, ponds, walking paths and abundant wildlife. The social life is lively with dozens of clubs, lectures (Keese School), fitness classes, theatre, bus trips and real friendships; dining and wellness amenities (pool, gym, rehab) are strong. Staff are generally caring and responsive and the continuing-care model gives me peace of mind, but costs are high and I've seen inconsistent care and occasional rude or unresponsive staff, so do your homework. Overall I'm very happy here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
