    About Traceway Retirement Community

Traceway Retirement Community, located in Tupelo, MS, is dedicated to serving older adults with a focus on fostering a life of dignity, independence, and connection. This community offers a broad range of retirement living and care settings, designed to meet the unique needs of each resident and to create a nurturing environment that eliminates the common challenges of aging such as loneliness, helplessness, and boredom. The atmosphere at Traceway emphasizes the values of Christian love, welcoming residents into a warm and supportive environment where they are empowered to direct their own care and enjoy meaningful, fulfilling lives.

The campus thoughtfully combines a variety of living options to accommodate both independent seniors and those who require additional support. For active retirees, Traceway offers 50 Cottages that blend privacy with security and maintenance-free living, available in one, two, and three-bedroom floorplans. These spacious homes allow residents the opportunity to enjoy the comfort of their own space while benefitting from the safety and convenience that a retirement community provides. The Cottages are secured by a contract arrangement consisting of an initial fee and manageable monthly service fees.

Traceway Manor Apartments and Villas add more choices for independent older adults, featuring 114 apartments with studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts. These accommodations are designed for privacy, comfort, and affordability, ensuring that each resident can find a home that suits their preferences and lifestyle. Some apartments at Traceway Manor qualify for income-based assistance, making them accessible to a wider range of seniors who are seeking a secure, Christian environment to live independently.

For those in need of more assistance, the Mitchell Center at Traceway Retirement Community provides a welcoming setting for assisted living. Here, elders enjoy private studio apartments furnished according to their taste, while receiving personalized support that adapts to their needs and respects their independence. Care at the Mitchell Center is flexible, with team members on hand to assist residents as needed, allowing each person to remain as self-sufficient as possible. Studio layouts include standard and deluxe suites, with care level fees that may apply depending on individual needs.

One of the most innovative aspects of Traceway Retirement Community is its role as the home of America’s first Green House® Homes, pioneering a new approach to long-term care. In these residences, up to twelve private bedrooms encircle a central hearth with a fireplace and dining area, fostering a true sense of family and community. This environment encourages elders to live much as they would in their own homes, surrounded by life and growth. The Green House approach aims to provide comprehensive care while virtually eliminating the most prevalent problems associated with aging, creating a vibrant atmosphere where residents can thrive.

Recognizing that some older adults may require temporary care after hospitalization or illness, Traceway also features the Cedars Bridge to Home Rehab & Recovery Program. This program is open to both residents and non-residents, providing short-term rehabilitation in safe and comfortable settings. Short-stay rooms are thoughtfully furnished with the essentials—bed, chair, side table, dresser, closet, and bathroom—with both single and semi-private rooms available. The goal of the Bridge to Home team at Cedars Rehab & Recovery is to support individuals in regaining their strength and coordination, giving them the resources needed to recover at their own pace in a secure and nurturing environment.

Throughout Traceway Retirement Community’s campus, a dedicated team is committed to upholding the well-being and independence of every elder. By providing a diverse range of living spaces, care levels, and rehabilitation services, Traceway ensures that each resident is able to age with dignity and purpose, supported by a caring community rooted in a spirit of Christian love.
