    Compassionate staff, clean and homey

I stayed three months at Kingdom Care Senior Living and found the nurses and staff compassionate, attentive, and safety-focused - administration was excellent and they kept my family regularly updated. The building and dining areas were very clean, the food was plentiful and delicious, staff were engaged with residents, and rehab services were good, so it felt homey and respectful. Downsides: rooms are small, it can feel crowded and some furniture needs updating, but I still highly recommend Kingdom Care.

    About Kingdom Care Senior Living

Kingdom Care Senior Living sits in Fulton, Missouri and offers different levels of care for seniors, including assisted living, independent living, skilled nursing, memory care, short-term rehab, respite stays, hospice care, and even home care support for those who need it after an illness, and folks can age in place so as their needs change they don't have to move out, and you'll see around 36 certified beds here and a set-up that tries to be as supportive and social as possible, with friendly staff members who help residents with meals, transfers, bathing, dressing, medication, and other daily needs, plus the place is pet-friendly so residents who can care for a pet can keep one with them. The building has assisted living apartments, studio units, and independent living options with full kitchens and living rooms, and there are day rooms, common spaces, and private dining rooms in some units for visits with guests or family meals, and then there are amenities like outdoor spaces, indoor lounges, a beauty and barber shop, an activity director on staff, guest meals, snacks through the day, clean and maintained halls, and devotional services held on-site, while chefs and meal planners make food that covers special diets, including diabetes care.

Kingdom Care encourages residents to join daily social gatherings, community-sponsored events, outings, and arts and crafts or exercise, plus they often have offsite activities and let residents try things that keep life interesting, and there's a structured schedule for entertainment, education, and social time, and a full-time activity director gets all that going. Healthcare staff monitor residents' health, manage medicines, and care for those with dementia, helping to keep everyone safe from falls or wandering. Residents can reach staff at any hour using a 24-hour call system, and there's always clinical staff on site to respond to emergencies, so you don't have to worry when health changes pop up. The team works to keep families in the loop about health or care updates and personalizes care plans to fit what each person needs, including referrals, support, and adjusting services if someone needs more help.

Staff can help with all personal care needs, including transfers, bathing, and dressing, and some specialized care types come with rehabilitation support and memory care, as well as support for people who just need a little help now and then, which is where their respite care and short-term programs come in. The building stays clean and homelike for the most part, and halls and dining areas are kept in order. Inspections have found some problems in the past with creating care plans on time, cleaning routines, infection control, and making sure everyone's rights are respected, with two infection-related deficiencies and a total of 19 reported in recent years, so families may want to ask about recent changes or improvements.

The company's owned by Michelle Aycock and William Aycock, each with half, and Chanda Gerard's handled executive director duties since November 2021, with Bobbie Young on the management team since September 2020. Nursing staff spend about 4.75 hours per resident per day and the nurse turnover has been about 40 percent. Kingdom Care Senior Living is also connected with Fulton Presbyterian Manor and runs as a for-profit limited liability company. The business office keeps regular weekday hours, and the facility's designed with seniors' comfort in mind, offering both private and social options for daily living, plus special extras like family education about resident care and support.
