Baptist Homes of Arcadia Valley sits in a historic home setting in Southeast Missouri and is part of the Baptist Homes & Healthcare Ministries, with other campuses in Adrian, Ashland, and Ozark, so the Arcadia Valley Campus offers care rooted in Christlike, compassionate service to the aging, and tries to rewrite the standard of care for seniors by providing independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and short-term rehabilitation under one roof, and while it's licensed by the State of Missouri and stays busy-with an average of 27 residents per day out of 36 certified beds, so there's usually space for new folks-they've been cited for 7 different deficiencies in past inspections, like not having a clear plan for infection control or quality assurance, as well as not updating or running their assessment groups as often as needed, but folks should know they've got 5.35 nurse hours per resident each day, which is higher than the Missouri average, and that seems to show there's usually plenty of staff around. You'll see a full team including Dan Stiles as Executive Director, Debbie Boswell who covers several jobs like Director of Nursing, Social Services Director, and Activities Director, with other managers-Patty Risher for HR, Diane Hedrick for dietary needs, Jim Carty looking after life safety, and Brittany Miller as the MDS Coordinator, plus Vivian Hillsbery heading up the Environmental Services team. The campus itself holds up to 56 beds with studio room floor plans and offers move-in options after an application, so residents can pick what suits them best, and family-style dining, activities for all ages, and frequent visits from local church groups keep the place lively and community-minded. Baptist Homes of Arcadia Valley also provides online payment options, nursing home care, home care, and levels of care to fit changing needs, with a range of room layouts and a safe, comfortable setting that pays attention to physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs, and while some services do require a login, they support residents by offering personal assistance, kitchenettes in some assisted living units, and care amenities made for senior living. There are specialized care programs like Assisted Living, Memory Care, Independent Living, and Nursing Home services, and staff offer support through a dietary department, life safety management, and a social services program, giving residents and families many choices but also expecting them to be active in their own care. With an average rating of 9.6 out of 10 in the city, Baptist Homes of Arcadia Valley remains the highest-rated in the area, and with regular attention to emotional and spiritual support, plenty of activities, and both short and long-term care, it serves many needs in a traditional setting, but there are real, documented areas where the place could improve its administration and infection control programs.

Excellent care, kind staff, comfortable
I placed my mom here and I couldn't be happier - the staff and administration are kind, caring and long-tenured, and the care is excellent. Rooms are clean and roomy, meals feel home-cooked yet restaurant-style with lots of variety, and the building is well-maintained with thoughtful amenities (chapel, library, craft/sewing room, exercise room, bingo and many activities). Respite and guest rooms are spacious and open, an electric chair and other helpful supports are available, and the price is very reasonable. My mom is genuinely happy for life.
