    Mostly excellent care with caveats

I've lived at Querencia since 2018 and overall I'm very pleased - the staff, memory-support team and rehab (PT/OT/inpatient) are outstanding, activities are varied and the resident community is warm and welcoming. Management was proactive with COVID, the facility is safe and well-organized, and my move/settling in was smooth. Downsides: dining is inconsistent (some great venues but small portions/noisy rooms), parking is tight with towing risk, and there have been occasional unprofessional/racist incidents, communication lapses and at least one medication/hospice problem. Despite those issues, I have no regrets and would recommend it for excellent care and services.

    About Querencia At Barton Creek

Querencia At Barton Creek offers older adults a place to live that covers many different care needs, so you've got independent living if you like to handle things on your own, assisted living for those who need a bit of daily help, memory care set up for those living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia, skilled nursing for higher levels of medical care, and rehabilitation services for folks who need to recover after an illness or surgery, and it's what you'd call a Life Care community because it promises lifelong care as people's needs change. Querencia sits on a 38-acre campus in Austin, Texas, with ten villas and more than 150 apartments, and those apartments come in 19 different floor plans, so there's a good bit of choice if you know what you want or need, and if you ever have questions or concerns, they have hospitality staff such as concierge, valet, wellness, fitness, security, and housekeeping to help you out or keep things running smoothly. They say they work hard to deliver genuine Texas hospitality, and you can count on personalized help with daily activities if you need it in the Assisted Living area, and the Memory Care area is specially made for adults with brain conditions that cause memory loss. If you need steady, high-quality skilled nursing, they've got that too, right on site, and they cover all the bases when it comes to health services for seniors. Querencia has some nice extras like first-class amenities and well-kept grounds, and folks who pick this place get a 90% refundable standard entry fee, along with options for estate protection and set future healthcare costs that make planning easier. Their care programs and features have unique names, so that helps residents and families tell which service is which. The community gives people comfort with a range of on-site features, and once you become a resident, Querencia guarantees you'll always have a place there, no matter how your needs change over time, which can give families some peace of mind. Seniors 62 and older can look at assisted living here or start out in independent living with a little more freedom, and with several types of care on one campus, along with continuing care retirement guarantees, residents don't have to worry about moving out as care needs change.
