CaraVita Village is a senior living community that serves active older adults with both independent and assisted living options, and you'll find it's got furnished or unfurnished apartments in studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, or deluxe styles, and these come with kitchens, window treatments, spacious closets, and cable or telephone connections, while every apartment has an emergency call system for safety, and the community is fully gated for added peace of mind. Residents get to enjoy three daily meals in a dining room with restaurant-style service, and there are plenty of menu options, including choices for those with allergies, diabetes, low sodium needs, and vegetarian diets, plus guest meals are available, all prepared by professional chefs. Housekeeping, including laundry and dry cleaning, comes once a week, and maintenance chores like lawn mowing are done by staff, so residents spend more time with meaningful pursuits or just relaxing. You'll see a community that offers group activities, daily outings, and scheduled movie nights, and there's an onsite program called Meaningful Pursuits that gets residents out and about or joining classes each day. Folks can read in the library, play games in the game room, or chat in lounges and quiet seating spots, and there's a fitness center, a swimming pool or hot tub, a salon, a beautician, and spaces both indoors and outdoors for recreation, including a garden, walking paths, and a theater. The staff are known for being friendly and helpful, and the care services are provided in English, offering support for medication management, 24-hour supervision, and help for non-ambulatory needs, plus there's memory care for people with Alzheimer's or Parkinson's, and hospice care if needed. Apartments are available to those who want to live privately or with a roommate, and the pet-friendly policy means many bring their animals along, though there's a strict no smoking rule indoors. For people who don't drive, free transportation goes to health appointments or group outings, and the community accepts a range of monthly budgets, offering several financing and payment options, including rent and care fees, so folks have choices about furnished or unfurnished apartments and about payment methods. Residents can join devotional services either onsite or offsite, and the community's open for tours so newcomers can meet staff and neighbors and see what daily life is like at CaraVita Village. Managed by Grace Management, Inc.-a company with a people-focused approach since 1984-the community supports the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of its residents, and there's a Christian care background with links to the Presbyterian Church USA, though inclusivity is a focus. There's support for veterans through VA Aid and Attendance, and the community houses a mix of active seniors, those living with memory conditions, and those needing extra care, all in a welcoming, maintenance-free setting with resort-style amenities included.
Friendly staff, good value, active
I live here and overall I'm happy - friendly, caring staff (24-hour on-site), lovely meals and an active calendar that helped me make friends. My apartment is large and mostly clean - there are 2-bed/2-bath units with mini-kitchens and studios available, some recently updated with new countertops and appliances. The dining room (three meals a day), pool, library, transportation bus and outdoor spaces are excellent amenities that give me independence and lots to do. Staff are accommodating and professional, housekeeping and laundry are reliable, and the community feels safe and homey. Downsides: the building is older with ongoing maintenance, some rooms/carpet smell dated, accessibility and care levels are limited for higher needs, and the neighborhood isn't ideal. For independent living on a budget, I'd recommend it - good value, warm staff, and many activities.
