    Renovated unit, terrible management experience

I liked the renovated, affordable apartment, layout and amenities (pool, gym, dining) and the staff were helpful on my tour, but my overall experience has been negative. Management - especially property manager Heather - is untrustworthy, rude, callous and incompetent: frequent turnover, non-responsive to tenant concerns, ignored health/safety issues, deplorable common areas, malfunctioning exterior doors, unattended medical deliveries and long maintenance delays (my dishwasher still broken). I've had privacy invasions (unlawful "patio checks"), rent hikes for years, financial strain, canceled activities and inconsistent guest/tenant policies (undisclosed Section 8 issues). I'm planning to move - avoid this complex unless you are over 80 and have no other options.

    About FountainGlen at Temecula

FountainGlen at Temecula is a 55+ senior living community that has 346 apartments built in 2004, offering one-bedroom and two-bedroom layouts, some with one bath and some with two, all laid out to let in lots of natural light and give nice views of the surrounding gardens and fountains, and folks who like their privacy might appreciate the private patios or balconies. People living here have central air conditioning and heating, big closets, walk-in showers, and kitchens that come with stainless steel appliances, dishwashers, gas ranges, microwaves, and refrigerators, not to mention the stackable washer and dryer hook-ups that help make laundry easier. The place is pet friendly with some breed and number restrictions, and there's both covered parking and regular parking options for those with vehicles.

The property's gated with controlled access, and there are elevators for easy movement between floors, so it's easier for folks who don't want to deal with stairs, and there's also on-site management and 24-hour emergency maintenance, which can make people feel more secure in case they need help any time. People who like to stay active can go to the state-of-the-art fitness center or take a dip in the resort-style pool, spend time in the soothing spas, or use the shaded seating areas for visiting with friends or just relaxing. Outdoor spaces include modern barbecue grills, scenic garden spots, and pleasant patios, so there's space to get some fresh air or have a meal outside. Inside, residents have use of a clubhouse with a TV lounge and kitchen, game room with billiards, business center, library, and an arts and crafts room, so there's usually something to do even on the days when going out isn't a fit.

People can get high-speed internet and cable TV in their apartments, and there are stackable washer and dryer connections, which is handy. Amazon package lockers help with package deliveries, and there are also online maintenance portals to give another way to get things fixed. The lease terms run 13, 14, or 15 months, allowing some flexibility for how long people want to stay, and there's information available for those who'd like details on things like rental rates, occupancy in the past, or what spaces are open now.

FountainGlen at Temecula supports senior living with services and amenities meant to make things more comfortable and convenient, and it aims for a supportive setting for seniors with different care needs, including assisted living and memory care features, though each person will want to check on the details that matter most for their own needs. The community tries to make life easier for seniors who want to keep living as independently as possible, and with so many types of spaces and services available, there's a good chance most people will find something that suits them, though it's always best to see for yourself and think about which features are most important.
