Kind staff, issues temper enthusiasm
I was impressed by the staff - exceptionally kind, proactive, trustworthy and supportive - and the building felt clean, safe and well-sanitized for move-in with easy virtual entry. I ran into minor move-in hiccups (storage access), ongoing construction/tech problems, a broken gate/security concern, small apartments with limited storage/downsizing pressure, crowded maskless activities, and some COVID-related staff impacts that affected care; I also felt I was paying for amenities I didn't use. I was upset that resident photos were used commercially without permission (this was later addressed), and the upfront application fee plus a $1,000 deposit give me pause. Overall it looks very good and I'd highly recommend it and hope to get a unit, but those operational and policy issues temper my enthusiasm.
