Spacious accessible community with amenities
We moved into a beautiful, well-maintained 62+ community with spacious, wheelchair-accessible apartments, safety-equipped bathrooms, in-unit washer/dryer and a kitchenette - perfect for us. The grounds are tranquil and dog-friendly with a walking path, nice landscaping, spotless common areas and lots of on-site amenities: movie theater, salon/nail tech, library, computer room/lessons, bingo/karaoke/crafts and a guest suite. Staff and residents are generally friendly and helpful, and the place feels welcoming with a strong sense of community. Downsides: the campus is a bit farther out (shopping/restaurants are nearby but transit can be finicky), we've seen maintenance/snow delays and occasional front-desk/communication lapses, and electric bills were higher than expected. Overall great value for independent living.
