Affordable but dirty, unsafe, neglected
I moved in because the rent is low and the staff I deal with are helpful, the place offers lots of activities, free transportation, a fitness center and in-apartment laundry - my apartment was neat and ready. That said, the property is run-down and often dirty (rotten trash smell on the first floor, holes in walls, tired kitchens, dark rooms), smoking is allowed in units so apartments can smell, and I've seen poor security, dangerous walkways/ramps and reports of pests. Office staff can be rude at times and many residents seem unhappy. If you want affordable, convenient services with kind front-line staff, it will work, but expect ongoing maintenance, cleanliness and safety issues.
