    Friendly staff, amenities, security concerns

I live here and overall I'm pleased - staff are friendly and caring, apartments are clean and spacious, and the place offers lots of amenities (two libraries, fitness room, pool, games area, meeting room) and regular activities like movie nights, potlucks, Bible study and chair exercises. Maintenance is often quick and there is 24-hour service, but service can be inconsistent, some repairs are patched rather than fixed, and management has been slow or insensitive at times. This is independent living (not nursing) - you cook and are responsible for your own care. My main concerns are insecure parking/lack of outside lighting with reports of car break-ins and occasional understaffing, but for the price I think it's good value and I would recommend it with those caveats.
