    Pleasant independent living, lacking care

I'm the first tenant in my apartment and overall it's a pleasant, well-kept independent living community - tidy buildings, lovely landscaping, ample/nice parking, elevator access, dishwasher in-unit and washer/dryer option or laundry room. Maintenance is cooperative and responsive (even with some staff turnover), smoke detectors in every unit and annual furnace checks give me peace of mind, and neighbors are friendly; it's walkable to Saratoga Springs amenities. Note it's strictly independent living with only a manager (no care), wandering risks have required police involvement, and I ultimately moved to assisted living for more support.

    About Westview Apartments

Westview Apartments sits at 125 West Avenue in Saratoga Springs, New York, and offers 108 senior apartments within a three-story elevator building completed back in 2007, which feels modern, but comfortable for older adults looking for affordable housing. Residents can pick from 79 one-bedroom and 29 two-bedroom units, all designed with open floor plans, oak cabinetry, and private balconies or patios, and there's space for pets too, so folks don't have to leave them behind. Every apartment has its own washer and dryer connections, central heating and air conditioning, a private water heater, disposal, refrigerator, range with oven, and even a dishwasher, which makes daily living pretty convenient. The property has a business center with high-speed internet, a fitness room, a community room for social gatherings, a lending library, a media room, and a shared laundry center, so there's never a shortage of things to do or spaces to chat with neighbors, or just pass the time. It focuses on residents aged 62 and older, and the staff stays committed to keeping the place well-run. The whole property is non-smoking for cleaner air. The building is pet-friendly, and the finishes inside the apartments are on the upscale side, with walk-in closets and plenty of room to move around. The place sits in a neighborhood close to shopping centers, medical offices, the local horse tracks, and other entertainment options, so errands and outings are pretty easy. Westview Apartments uses a resident portal for folks to handle account details and stay up to date with community news. The facility stays open on weekdays with regular business hours, which keeps things straightforward for scheduling or dropping by. Being managed as a senior-focused multifamily housing option, you'll see careful attention to the needs of older adults while keeping things simple, practical, and welcoming.
