    Clean supportive community with limitations

I moved my mom here and overall we're happy. The apartments are pristine, well-maintained and spacious with full kitchens, in-unit washer/dryer, central heat/air and secure 24/7 assistance. The staff and director are fantastic - friendly, attentive and very helpful - and there are on-site services (salon, nurse practitioner a few days, weekly grocery and medical shuttles) plus activities like bingo, exercise and crafts, though some people say the social calendar can be limited. The location is near the hospital but has limited walkability, few nearby amenities and traffic/no sidewalks can be a problem; winter street cleaning and an occasional stuffy/nursing-home smell (bad for my mom's breathing) were downsides. Still, my mom loves it.
