Hotel-like community, social but flawed
I love the hotel-like, brand-new grounds - very clean, attractive, with a pool, gym, library, theater and lots of social activities; staff are friendly, personable and knowledgeable. Apartments are spacious (1-beds fair, I'm moving to a 2-bed), secure gated community, in-unit laundry and walk-in showers are nice touches. My concerns: management can be inept and dismissive (lost papers, insistence on notarized receipts), recurring maintenance problems (attic leaks, rain flooding), inadequate parking, and meals/medical care aren't included. Overall I'd recommend it for active 55+ people who want a social, pretty place but not for those needing all-inclusive care or tight oversight.
