    Immaculate friendly affordable independent living

I live in this 14‑year independent‑living community and I’m very happy here — the building is immaculately kept, secure, and more economical than many alternatives. Staff and residents are friendly; housekeeping and maintenance are responsive even though management is fairly hands‑off. There are weekly, staff‑ and resident‑planned social activities and great amenities (indoor pool, fitness/wellness center, library, craft and theater rooms, large party room). Note: no meals are provided — you handle your own meals.

    About Oaks of Wellington

Oaks of Wellington sits at 10240 Hendley Road in the Prince George and Manassas area of Northern Virginia, and if you ever walk by you'll notice it's surrounded by lots of green trees and grass, giving it a peaceful and inviting feel in the middle of a busy region, and it's been there since 2003, with a modern look and contemporary architecture that stands out but doesn't feel cold or unwelcoming. The building has 131 units, including one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments-with either one or two baths-so folks can choose a floor plan that fits what they want, and every apartment is built for simple, accessible living, with patios, balconies, or sunrooms in different floorplans, and if someone's still active and healthy, these spaces are set up with their needs in mind. The community pool is there for recreation or a quiet float, and the fitness center lets people work on their health without leaving home; you'll see residents coming and going, maybe taking one of the virtual tours before deciding, or parking in a carport nearby. The property covers 106,790 square feet, so there's room both inside and outside for relaxing and moving around, and the lush woodland setting helps create a sense of calm and harmony-you can spot birds now and then, and it's a good place if you like a bit of shade. Oaks of Wellington is mainly for adults 55 and up and provides different kinds of care and housing options, so if someone needs a little help or wants to just be part of the community, they'll find options. The staff are described as service-oriented professionals who help things run smoothly, and for folks who want to know details about the place, Oaks of Wellington offers data on amenities, ownership, and management, as well as information about rents, sales, vacancies, and the history of rates, so someone who pays attention to those things can look up almost anything they'd like. There's no public information that points out anything uniquely famous or special about Oaks of Wellington, but there's a practical approach to shared spaces and amenities, like the state-of-the-art features in both apartments and common areas, carport parking, and different utilities and site features, so it ends up being a straightforward, calm, and well-maintained place for seniors looking for a safe and modern home.
