    Warm attentive staff, excellent care

I'm very pleased with Magnolia Place - the staff are loving, knowledgeable and attentive, nursing and memory care are excellent, and the director is hands-on. The campus feels home-like, spotless and beautifully laid out, meals are delicious and there are frequent, engaging activities and outings with prompt family communication. It's on the pricier side and I've noticed some wear-and-tear/maintenance hiccups at times, but overall I highly recommend it for the quality of care and warm community.

About Magnolia Place Transitional Assisted Living and Memory Care

Magnolia Place Transitional Assisted Living and Memory Care is made for seniors who need help with daily routines and those with memory challenges like Alzheimer's or dementia, and the place is calm and sits among thousands of acres of green spaces, so you can step outside and still be close to parks and walking trails, while also just a short trip from shopping spots and local attractions. The staff have Certified Dementia Practitioners on hand, with an Executive Director, Health Services Director, and Life Enrichment Director keeping an eye on things, and they offer complete personal care like help with bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, housekeeping, laundry, and health checks, so residents can focus less on chores and more on living comfortably. Safety stays front of mind, and rooms have in-room pull cords and motion sensors, the building is smoke-free, and there's secure setup so residents with memory loss can move around safely, including enclosed courtyards where people can get fresh air without worry.

The community provides both transitional assisted living and memory care, using a person-centered, custom plan for each resident, and support covers all kinds of needs from medication management to help with daily activities, and if you need short-term or respite stays, they do that too. The menus follow the MIND Diet for meals that help brain health, and there's a sensory spa to help with calm and relaxation. The HOPE BLOOMS™ Life Enrichment Program, based on Montessori methods, runs activities that reach into all parts of a person's well-being-physical, spiritual, sensory, social, intellectual, and emotional-so every day brings something worthwhile to do, whether it's exercise, music, crafts, or talking with others.

There are full-time activity directors who fill the calendar with things like volunteer work, workshops with a purpose, social hours, field trips, wine tastings, devotional services, and outings, alongside special programs like the VR Bucket List Program so residents can try virtual reality experiences and see things from their list of hopes and dreams. Private dining rooms give space for family visits, and rooms come in private, semi-private, and companion options, all designed to feel welcoming and support independence, comfort, and dignity. The community provides transportation and parking, onsite beauty salon, and keeps up with modern safety and health needs, while supporting personal hygiene and helping people stay active and independent as much as possible.

Magnolia Place focuses on respectful, affordable care, no big buy-in required since they take month-to-month leases, and there's a referral program where residents can get a reward for inviting friends. The community belongs to the Sunshine Retirement Community family, and staff are trained, friendly, and responsive, always ready to help and guide both residents and families through choices. Health monitoring, medication management, cognitive and recreational activities are part of daily life, and the place suits those looking for help with memory support, transitional living, and a comfortable environment that lets each resident, no matter their memory or health needs, have a voice in their care and a chance to enjoy each day at their own pace.
