    About Harmony Point

Harmony Point - CLOSED was a senior living community focused on those living with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, and the staff provided care around the clock with supervision day and night, so families could expect that their loved ones had help with memory care and activities of daily living, and that even residents with difficult behaviors or high care needs, like those who might wander or needed insulin injections, were welcome there, and they had a secure building, walking paths inside and out, and even used alarm bracelets for extra safety. The place let residents have pets, with certain programs just for people and their animals, which was good for those who liked having dogs or cats around, and they tried to give meals that fit special diets like no sugar or allergy-sensitive needs, and even had a professional chef with a restaurant-style dining room. The facility had a range of activity options including art and cooking classes, gardening, music, trivia, light exercise like stretching or yoga, as well as spiritual services for different faith backgrounds, which helped keep residents busy and engaged, and they even held movie nights and resident-led events, which gave people things to look forward to. The memory care section was built to be secure and easy to get around, so people wouldn't get lost or stressed, and they had private rooms, wheelchair showers, cable TV, and Wi-Fi in the rooms, as well as heating, ceiling fans, and ground floor access for those who needed it. For those who needed full care, like physical help with bathing or dressing, lifts for transfers, or incontinence care and reminders for the bathroom, staff could handle it, because they had experience with both ambulatory and non-ambulatory residents, and they even had a doctor on call. People at Harmony Point could expect laundry, housekeeping, and meal prep were all taken care of, and there were common areas like a beauty salon, games room, arts room, TV lounge, and outside patio, plus they had raised gardens, a piano or organ, and space for group activities, and they tried to involve families with updates and information. The management team screened employees carefully to make sure everyone wanted to work with people with memory loss, aiming to support residents in feeling loved, cared for, and as independent as possible. Staff aimed for a family-focused, home-like atmosphere, and gave information and resources to both residents and their families, and the community even had short-term respite care options and services in English and Spanish, but now the facility is closed and no longer taking new residents.
