      About Palmetto Cove

Palmetto Cove gives seniors a quiet place near the Blue Ridge Escarpment with a strong focus on memory care and comfort, and you'll find a safe environment for folks with memory challenges along with services for assisted living, memory care, independent living, and skilled nursing care, offering help with bathing, dressing, medication management, meal service, and non-ambulatory needs, and residents are supported by a 24-hour call system and ongoing supervision, so that's peace of mind for families. Condos come with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a den, and most include a garage for parking and storage, plus the three floor plans-Dogwood, Barrington, and Abbey-range in size from 1,345 to 1,548 square feet, and all of them have screened front and back areas with nice lake views, and the condos take away the usual chores like mowing, gutter work, and fixing the outside, so owners don't have to worry about those things. Palmetto Cove's clubhouse has a large pool, a big room for gatherings, and a kitchen, so social events happen together, and there's an arts room, a library, a game room, a movie theatre, and walking paths for getting some fresh air, and residents can also use the fitness room, spa/sauna/wellness room, transportation services, and outdoor spaces for hiking, fishing, and biking, plus dog lovers and outdoor folks have walking trails and private river frontage, and you get free Wi-Fi throughout the community. The dining room offers all-day, restaurant-style meals, with options for people who need allergy-friendly or diabetes diets, and there's also meal prep and service as needed. The condos have private bathrooms, kitchenettes, furnished choices, cable TV, air conditioning, telephone, and good internet, and you'll see that the move-in process gets help from the staff, with extra attention to cleaning, laundry, and even dry cleaning. The Homeowners Association keeps fees on the lower side, and the community stands as a hidden spot with competitive prices, plus the place is close to the beach and to nice spots like cafes, parks, pharmacies, doctors, restaurants, churches, theaters, and hospitals, so errands and outings are easier. Palmetto Cove makes an effort to meet memory care needs, so the daily routines, activities, and clubhouse space aim to support seniors who have trouble with memory, but everyone living there can join in scheduled programs, resident-run activities, and use outdoor programs. There's a capacity of only six residents, which means a more personal atmosphere, and for people interested in activities, they've got hiking, biking, paddling, fishing, and social spaces for family visits too. The facility's been around since serving as an Airstream campground, so there's a bit of history, and now it's a member-owned, nonprofit campground with 148 full hookup sites, playgrounds, and a friendly, family-oriented setting, and you'll find both privacy and a sense of community here, with access to lots of amenities that make daily life easier and more pleasant for seniors.
