      About Halifax Plantation

Halifax Plantation sits near Ormond Beach, Florida, on land with big old live oaks and the Fairchild Oak as a highlight, and the place takes its name from the Halifax River which is part of the Intracoastal Waterway, and folks can see Bulow Creek and Ormond Tomb State Parks right beside it, so there's lots of nature and flat ground all around. The community tries to help everyone stay as independent as possible, but it's ready to help with things like bathing, dressing, and taking medicine, plus laundry, housekeeping, and move-in help. There are several care types available, and people can get help for a while if their main caregiver needs a break, which is called respite care, and everything goes by a care plan made just for each person. The nurses use a 24-hour call system for safety and keep an eye on people who need supervision or help moving around, since non-ambulatory care is an option here.

You'll find the place has its own fitness center and wellness programs so people can join in classes or use the equipment, and the landscaped outdoor spaces have sitting areas and walking paths for folks who want some fresh air, while the lounges and library give folks cozy spots inside. Halifax Plantation offers lots of ways to stay busy, including art classes, games, group outings, fitness sessions, movie nights, cooking lessons, and even resident-run activities; there's always something going on. For meals, there's a dining room where a chef serves restaurant-style dishes three times a day, and they're careful about food allergies, diabetes diets, and personal choices, plus there's all-day dining and meals served in the grill area or the banquet hall if there's an event. Amenities include a spa and wellness room, a theater, a games room, and an arts room, with outdoor programs for anyone wanting to join.

Community services stretch from laundry and dry cleaning, to housekeeping, and even a concierge and family support if needed, with regular updates and advice in the blog, and the Halifax Plantation E-Club shares news about builder opportunities and events. Right in the middle of everything sits the Halifax Plantation Golf Club, which started in 1993 with help from Bill Amick, and there's a PGA pro named Bobby McCrimmon on staff for lessons or advice, and the course itself has 18 holes, two nine-hole loops, good practice areas, and tees for different skill levels, with backtees at 7101 yards, clubtees at 5627, and fronttees at 4922, always par 72, and water hazards add a bit of a challenge on a couple of holes like the forced carry over a small creek at the twelfth. The golf club also has restaurant and banquet facilities, and the community has affordable homes made to fit families as well as the seniors and members who live here. Halifax Plantation keeps folks informed, supported, and engaged, with a mix of comfort, care, and plenty of ways to stay active or just enjoy some quiet under the trees.
