Park Place Pembroke Pines is a 55+ condominium community made up of six eight-story buildings with elevators, offering 1,028 homes that range from one to three bedrooms and include washers, dryers, walk-in closets, air conditioning, and stainless steel appliances, as well as views of fairways and ponds for many of the units. This community was built in the 1970s and early 1980s and it's part of the Pembroke Lakes master-planned neighborhood, which has easy access to main roads, shopping centers like Pembroke Lakes Mall, and nearby parks. Residents get 24/7 gate-guarded security and no pets are allowed. The grounds have four thermal swimming pools, a long walking and bike path, six tennis courts, a clubhouse, a 250-seat auditorium for movie nights, and an internet cafe. People living here have plenty of social clubs, planned events, and daily activities, including water exercise classes, duplicate bridge, game nights, and outdoor programs, many of which are run by residents themselves. There's a sauna for relaxing, grilling facilities, arts and music rooms, game rooms, a library, fitness center, and community spaces inside and out. Apartments offer private bathrooms, kitchenettes, cable TV, Wi-Fi, phones, spacious tubs and showers, and furnishings. Services include housekeeping, coordinated move-in, laundry, transportation, parking, concierge, family support, and all-day dining, with options for special diets. The community allows for maintenance-free living and has round-the-clock skilled nursing care, rehabilitation, wound care, memory support, respite care, and help with daily activities, meals, medication, and personal care. There are also 24-hour call systems, supervision, and care for those with Alzheimer's and dementia in secure areas. Park Place Owners Association, Inc. governs the community and is a not-for-profit Florida corporation that's been active since 1975, with a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Directors, as well as regular corporate filings and amendments. The community sits beside the Pembroke Pines Golf and Racquet Club, though the golf course is separate. Residents have easy access to both Fort Lauderdale and Miami airports. The grounds and building exteriors are well-kept and the clubhouse provides a central spot for getting together and socializing.
