About Peggy and Philip B Crosby Wellness Center

The Peggy and Philip B Crosby Wellness Center sits inside the Center for Health & Wellbeing and has served the people of Eatonville, Maitland, and Winter Park for more than thirty years, and though it opened the new, modern space in April 2019, folks know it's been part of the community for a long time, now offering eighty thousand square feet of updated amenities, spacious walking paths, and plenty of gardens outside that bring a bit of calm with all the green and the birds, and if you wander in, you'll see a state-of-the-art gym packed with new fitness equipment, private exercise pods for privacy, a fitness floor, and two big indoor pools-one set up for swimming laps and another with warmer water for therapy and exercise. The facility holds group exercise rooms for classes like yoga, Zumba, and boot camp, plus an indoor walking track up on the second floor that's all glass so everyone can look out at Center Commons while they stretch their legs. There's another outdoor walking path that loops for about 0.4 miles, winding into Ward Park for a long stroll, brisk walk, or jog. The saunas in the locker rooms let folks unwind after a workout, and the natatorium-big word for pool area-has special ceiling lights that look like the night sky during winter.

The Crosby Wellness Center is certified by the Medical Fitness Association, which means it's a serious place for both medical and everyday fitness needs, and happens to be first in Central Florida to earn that, offering comprehensive medical services inside too, like primary care doctors, GYN specialists, lab work, a pharmacy, prescription help, sports medicine, physical rehab, acupuncture, and massage. You'll also find nationally certified fitness staff and degreed wellness professionals who run a range of programs, including medical fitness, personal training, group exercise, and even special sessions for people with Parkinson's focused on boxing movements-no hitting, just good movement. Program offerings also include Pilates reformer classes, technology support for health goals, health seminars, meditation workshops, and even cooking and dance, all part of a whole-person approach they call Wholeness, Fitness, and Medicine.

Kids have the Crosby Kid's Corner, and there are conference rooms for community gatherings. Dining comes from Bricks & Bowls, a partner café in the center, making fresh meals. Locker rooms include saunas and private mini-locker rooms for those needing help. Some folks appreciate how the center's design works to support mind, body, and spirit, blending exercise with learning programs and pathways through outdoor gardens, altogether helping visitors and members work toward better health at their own pace.
