      Unclean unsafe facility with neglect

I would not recommend this facility. I experienced roaches, filthy rooms (peeling wallpaper, sticky floors), a broken bed left in the middle of the room and even sewage overflow; staff were inattentive with long call-button response times and an unresponsive front desk. Care was neglectful-late feedings/poor hydration, soaked diapers/wet clothes, improper Hoyer lift use, missed diabetic meds for days and poor communication with families-although some therapists and a few staff were warm and professional, the safety and staffing problems are severe.

      About Kingshire Manor Assisted Lvng

Kingshire Manor Assisted Living has a lot of choices for seniors depending on what kind of help they want, so there's independent living for those who still like to do things on their own-with support services available if folks want them-and then you'll see they also have assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing for people who need more help, so you get a range of care all in one place. The memory care area has a secure setup special for people with Alzheimer's or dementia, offering memory programs and activities, and there's always staff awake 24-hours in every part, plus one RN on site, so families know someone's always there to help with anything from moving folks from bed to wheelchair to checking on emergency calls. Skilled nursing takes care of people with more complex health needs and there's round-the-clock care as well as short-term respite stays if someone's regular caregiver needs a break, so people can spend a few days or weeks here and then head back home.

Rooms at Kingshire Manor come in studio, one-bedroom, or semi-private setups, and they all have things like kitchenettes, air-conditioning, wheelchair accessible showers, and ground floor units for people who don't want to deal with stairs, plus you get Wi-Fi and high-speed internet pretty much everywhere, so people can stay in touch. The community lets you bring your small cat or dog, and there's commons spaces inside and out, places to walk, sit, or meet up with friends, and a monthly resident's council where people can voice what's on their mind. Staff help with simple things like meals and medication up to special tasks like checking insulin or helping with incontinence care, and you don't have to cook unless you want to because restaurant-style meals are served in a dining room and the chef can cook up gluten-free, low sodium, vegan, and vegetarian options if someone needs a special diet.

Activities are planned to keep people moving and connected, such as cooking and stretching classes, trivia, day trips, Wii bowling, and live music, and you can always join religious services-Catholic, Jewish, or devotional-with visits from chaplains, so routines from home can continue. The grounds are landscaped so there's always somewhere outside for a stroll, and exercise equipment is there for folks who like to keep active. If you need to go out, transportation's free, which makes doctor appointments or errands easy, and parking is available for those who still drive. Fees at Kingshire Manor vary depending on the level of care someone needs, and there are one-time costs like a community fee or a buy-in, with separate rates for second occupants. The minimum age here is 55, and they take payments from private funds, social security, or veteran's benefits, so there are some options. The focus is always on helping people live as independently as they can while making sure help's nearby when it's needed, and no matter what, meals, care, and a safe spot to call home are always part of the deal.
