    Avoid: neglect, infections, poor care

I toured this place and it looked clean and pleasant — my mother arrived walking, talking and smelling fine. Within weeks she developed VRE/C. diff and UTIs, became dehydrated, suffered a wrist fracture with subsequent wrist drop, and was given the wrong Coumadin dose while her diabetic diet was ignored. Staff were uncaring/abusive, deceptive with dementia residents, locked people in hallways, and management couldn’t or wouldn’t mediate with family — I had to resolve POA/guardianship outside the facility. High monthly cost for unsafe, poor-quality care with no real access to nature or community. Avoid.
