    Excellent rehab but unsafe supervision

I appreciate the modern building, excellent equipment and 36 therapists - strong PT/OT focus, good activities and decent dining - and the front desk and many staff were kind and helpful. However, communication with family was poor, CNAs were slow, nurses worked 12-16 hour shifts causing inconsistent care, and there was a lack of supervision after my loved one's stroke (4-day shower delay, fall on night one). COVID visitation limits, spotty Zoom/tech support, and a mandatory $37/hr sitter (charged to family) made staying connected and safe difficult. Given the safety and supervision issues, I would not leave my loved one here alone despite the excellent rehab resources.

    About Center At Lincoln

Center At Lincoln sits at 12230 Lioness Way in Parker, Colorado, and opened its doors back in 2013, bringing a skilled nursing facility that covers a wide range of healthcare needs, so what you'll find is a large, 68,500 square foot building that's filled with 96 private suites, each coming with its own bathroom and shower, so privacy is never much of an issue, and the services there include everything from regular skilled nursing to more specialized medical recovery and rehabilitation for people who need help getting back on their feet after an illness or injury. The staff all speak English, and the skilled nursing here includes a lot of hands-on help, family involvement, and even psychological care for those who might be having a hard time emotionally, and there's also formal discharge planning to make sure anyone moving on knows what to do next. Some folks need continuous care, and Center At Lincoln is ready for that, providing both secure and non-secure areas, which benefits those living with dementia or Alzheimer's-memory care is one of the things they do at all stages, so even if someone's memory is slipping a bit or a lot, they can handle it and keep that person as safe and comfortable as possible. There's a therapy gym in the building, which is pretty big, so residents can work on walking, balance, going up and down stairs, or getting stronger after a setback, and they aren't limited to inpatient rehab since there's outpatient physical therapy too for those who need it but maybe live elsewhere. Medical services go beyond basic care, with access to routine blood work, medication delivery, x-rays, and a wide range of medical equipment that's right up to date. Meals come from an executive chef in a fine dining setting, so food tends to be healthy and varied, but it's more than just food because they mix in social programs, psychological help, and activities to keep spirits up. People experience a hotel-like atmosphere, but they've still got the care of a licensed and highly trained staff, with all care plans led by physicians to try and make sure each person gets exactly the care they need, nothing less. The facility itself is managed by Veritas Management Group and is part of CHCA District I, and they hold a state license in Colorado for skilled nursing services, so that's all by the book, and the offerings number over 154 different services, which covers just about anything someone needing skilled medical help might run into, and there may not be any information out there about faxing, but that's a small thing considering the scale of everything else they've got covered. Office hours are in place, though right now the exact times aren't posted, and while the focus stays on providing the best possible clinical experience during a recovery, there's also a real effort to make it a memorable place in positive ways, whether through attentive staff, good meals, or a mix of healthcare and hospitality you don't always see in a facility like this.
